So I did not think ahead to buy swimsuits when they were in season. I have none and would like to get at least two. However, I do not want to pay an arm and a leg for them. I am having a hard time finding anything. Any suggestions? And while we are at it, what about beach wear in general. We are sailing the end of Feb.

Not sure where you live but Target already has "resort" wear out and a few childrens stores like Gap and Gymboree will have that stuff out right after the holidays..... A lot of dept. Stores have been doing the same as well the past few years right after New Year's so do not worry!!! :thumbsup2

Some of stores you may be able to get them online. One of the online places i shop has them year round.

swimoutlet.com I buy my daughter's comp suits there but they have a wide variety of EVERY type of bathing suit you can imagine, are well priced, have superior customer service and fast shipping (free if over $75).

I can't say enough about the quality of service and products that I've received from them. Once I got a suit that was the wrong color, I IM'd customer service online and they sent the correct color overnight and told me to keep the other one as a practice suit for my trouble.

Our Target has suits out already also (and some of the girls' suits are $2.48 each for cute daisy print ones!)

I got cheap boardshorts, but brand name and excellent quality, Nike Aqua Socks, which are the best fitting watershoes i've ever had, and a couple rashguards-a must in the tropics-make sure to get SPF+50 ones. We were so burnt on our scalps and forearms, oh it was SO painful the next day and we were in another port!!! I couldnt imagine having sunburn on my back or legs, thank goodness for the rashguard and boardshorts. We applied the sunscreen many times too. 7 hour excursion in St. Thomas burned right though. Anyway the website is:

Altrec.com

Click on the outlet tab. Another site I found was Backcountry.com

Good luck :) have a great cruise.

Lands end, lands end....They might cost a little more, but they are designed for real body types and they last. I have a suit that I wear all summer every summer for 5 years. It looks great - I wash it in the machine with woolite and hang it to dry. If it lasts for 5 years, it is worth the extra cost.

I totally agree! They are really flattering and comfortable.
I also have really good luck with www.kohls.com (and their suits are on sale right now, too)

victoriasecret.com - great selection & prices. Check out their discount section.

Having been shopping at various places for swimwear, I have to say that the onboard price is reasonable. ... not Target pricing, but similar to department store prices. And, the suit I bought I loved. Unfortunately, I lost it this summer in the changing room at an amusement/ water park. Really bummed!

I would say, try online. The stores will have them soon enough, but probably not before the end of February!

Justice has suits online and in the stores (girls). 6pm.com is another site to look at. I need to get a few more , too.

I love Lands End suits, but if you're thinner you can probably find a ton at the Walmart/Targets in FL.

Last November I cleaned up in Walmart for my ds10. I bought suits in different sizes for a song.

You should also look at Title9sports...they have some in the sale section right now. I have also found suits at Athleta. Now is the time to buy if you can find something in your size since most everything is on sale. Good luck!

I have a terrible time finding suits that fit me. I love http://www.athleta.com. They are not cheap, but they are awesome and sometimes you can find them on sale.

When it comes to swimsuits, I completely believe that you get what you pay for.

Do you have California Sunshine stores in your area. I live in NJ and we have them all over the place. Bathing suits and accessories, 365 days a year.
But if not go on line. Or larger department stores like Macys and Nordstroms probably have resort wear.:)
