Where to buy pin trading starter sets?

I would like to get starter sets for our 10 & 7 year old boys. We're not into the value thing at all. I just think it would be a good experience for them to learn to approach people and converse about a trade.

Where can I buy starter set? We don't live anywhere near a Disney store, so we will probably have to buy online.

How much can I expect to pay for a starter set?

Like I said...I don't even want to know what pins are valuable, etc. We just want to have the fun of trading pins!

You'll see a million of them at WDW. Anywhere that sells pins also sells things like lanyards and starter sets. Some locations may have fewer starter sets than other locations. You'll probably even find some in your hotel gift shop if you want them before heading to the parks.

Do you know what Disney charges for the starter sets? I've seen them on ebay for about 29.95.

Starter sets at WDW begin at $24 for 4 pins and a lanyard, $29 or $35 I think for 6 pins. Lanyards by themselves are $5. At Downtown disney and in the parks they have a 7 pin set for $25. You might just want to head to DTD the first night and grab that and the lanyard for each son as it is a decent deal and gives them lots to trade.

You can get pins cheap on Ebay.... Do a search on "DISNEY PIN LOT"

Usually I pay about 3.00 a pin !!!

I bought a few of these great starter sets for the family and have a couple new in the package left over...

The blue lanyard comes with 8 pins and sold for $48 at the parks...send me a PM if you are interested in them.
