We are ready to upgrade from lanyards to pinbooks as my sons (ages 7, 10, and 12) has amassed more and more pins. Also we find they often fall off the lanyards and the boys don't love wearing them around their neck all day. We'd love to buy a few pin storage books to hold all of our pins and keep in a backpack when we go to the parks for trading. Aside from Disney parks, any other recommendations for places or websites to purchase pin storage books?

Also, best place to buy a "lot" of pins for trading? They are attached to all the ones they have ;-) We'd love to have some extras on hand to trade next month when we go to DLR.

In terms of the pin books, I've seen them listed on Amazon.com and similiar vendors; just make sure to read the description and fine print to know what you're getting and whether it's of the quality you want. You might also stop by your local comic book/collectible shops to see if they have any.

In terms of pins, the most common place is still eBay. Again, read the description and fine print to try and reduce the chance you're getting scrappers and fakes. My recommendation is to look for sellers that are selling pins still on their backing and/or unopened booster sets (also still on their cardboard backing wrapped in plastic). Avoid buying pin "lot" that are really cheap (e.g., is less than a couple of dollars each) and avoid anyone selling pins that come in little baggies (instead of pin cards like the ones you see at the stores in WDW/DLR). While there are some good sellers of Hidden Mickey pins, I think the vast majority are selling fakes/scrappers, so I would avoid buying "lots" that those pins.

Some of the stores, even World of Disney carry different styles of "bags" that contain pages like a book. Have you seen those?

Also as far as extra pins, buy the "mystery packs". That way you get some inexpensive pins, some you may actually like, and you avoid the fake pins on ebay that you wouldn't be able to trade.
