Where to buy magicband+

The online Disney store has a very limited selection. I’ve seen some on eBay but……can that be trusted? Are there any sold at contemporary resort?
Isn’t there a website where you can basically shop for things in the Disney park stores?

BEWARE,, a MB is only good for one person. Ebay may be trying to 'pass' the used MB to you.
There are TONS of MB at the parks/resorts. You really don't need MB till you're at resort/park. So you can get one once in ORL/dland.
There is a smaller select at shop Disney .

Yes at Bayview Gifts on the 4th floor. All resorts have MBs for sale in their stores. And the park stores have a variety of stores that sell MBs. Finally the Disney store in Disney Springs has a variety of MBs for sale.

Got my Magicband+ at the pin shop at the Epcot entrance, got it immediately cause it had Tink on it haha

If you have time the day before, the Disney Character Outlet (Disney Outlet) usually has a couple discounted MagicBand+ if you are just looking for function and not a specific character. Two locations in Orlando near DisneyWorld

Is it just a skin to lay over a previous magic band plus or an actual one? I

If we already have magic band plus and have that one attached to our reservation can I switch it over to the new magic band plus we purchase?

You can add the new one. No need to switch. Both can be active.

I ordered a MB+ 8 days before my arrival at POFQ next week. The website clearly states on the order instructions that if you order 6 to 10 days before your arrival, they will send the MB+ to your resort, which is what I wanted.

This morning I got an email from Disney saying that they'd shipped my MB+ to my home address and it will arrive the day AFTER I get home. I'm pretty annoyed. I wrote to them and will report back, although I'm not expecting anything but a boilerplate response.

The response I got from Disney was that they canceled the order and are issuing me a refund.

I called WDW just now, since I wanted the MB+ delivered to the resort, not canceled. But after spending over an hour on chat and on the phone (that's 3 different CMs altogether) I found out that (a) the order is not canceled and that (b) the reason it's being sent to my house is that I ordered the AP MB+ and not the one associated with the resort stay even though the AP one also has all the same info listed on the order page as the resort-related one does and even though of course WDW knows darn well that I'll be there next week.

Furthermore, maybe I can cancel the order since it hasn't been canceled but I have to wait until tomorrow and call the merchandise department (whose number I wasn't given--I think I still have to call the main number) to try to do this but by tomorrow it'll be too late to order any MB+ to be sent to the resort so if I cancel the order (if it isn't already canceled) tomorrow then I still won't get the MB+ I want for this trip unless I want to order it today via the resort-stay link and probably spend double the money for it since I have no way of currently knowing if the other order was canceled.

I don't know about you, but I don't want to spend $70 on two of the same MB+s for myself when my initial intent was to save $10 by purchasing it before my stay.

Yes, I'm frustrated and superiorly annoyed.

So, warning to fellow DISers: If you want your MB+ shipped to your resort, do NOT order through the link that's related to your AP (if indeed it's even possible to figure out what that choice is, particularly if you're on a solo trip) but instead order through the link that's associated with your resort stay. Because it's too hard for Disney to figure out that you're an AP holder and you're going to be at one of their resorts less than 10 days from now, despite having a reservation at the resort and also park reservations.

End of boring, frustrating, annoying MB+ saga.

New update: Disney refunded me for the MB+ purchase. Ironically, now the MB+ is, according to the USPS, due to arrive the day before my trip. But since the MB+ has been deactivated and I was refunded, it's no longer usable.

So I never should have said anything.

One nice outcome of this is that I got a couple of personal responses from a Disney CM, who was very helpful and kind.
