I am tired of using our libraries ebook selection. Everytime I read a good book it takes me weeks to find another book I want to read and even then I often have to put a hold on one and wait. Are there any online sites that sell ebooks for a resonable price? Amazon will not work for me since the ebook needs to be epub format for my sony ereader. I realy want to use the ereader more but I can't find enough books.

thanks, jen.

have you ted Pixelofink.com I download a lot, well everything for free for my kindle from links there. I download for free from Amazon but I have notices that other versions are available

Go to www.freestufftimes.com and check it daily. They have dozens of free ebooks listed all the time for all kinds of readers. I've never really paid a lot of attention to what is available, I just know I see the lists regularly.

I have a Kindle and get books from Ereader, so far I have never paid for any book, I know it is thru Amazon, but I would google ereader and see if there is something for other brands. I get a list of books daily, with at least 10 books available for free download, right now I have so many books I have downloaded I don't know if I will get them all read by the end of this year.

Good luck, love this new technology.

B&N, Google Books, and Sony sell books in ePub format. Check out Nook Free Fridays for a weekly giveaway.

Be careful of sites that seem to be giving away a lot of free recent best sellers. Those are almost certainly pirated books.

On B&N's site, if you search for 0.00 in "nook books," you'll get results for all their free ebooks.

1) Before you give up on library ebook collections, be aware that many libraries have a policy that allow non-residents of that particular area to get a card which would allow access to their e-book collections. You'll probably still have the wait list issue, but the selection might be different from your own library's collection (although all libraries now won't have books by the publishers that won't sell to libraries and many are reconsidering buying from Harpercollins given their lending limit).

2) Ebook fling is an ebook exchange website, you post what you own and can lend to others and for every book that you lend, you get a credit which you can borrow from somebody else. Might want to check it out.

I just set up a Nextbook e-reader/tablet for my mom.

I added Nook so she can get books from Barnes and Noble. I noticed even the Free ebooks need a CC to access them.

It came with Kobo and I did get some ebooks for free through the app. I also found Indigo/Chapters also had Kobo ebooks for free.

So far she is really enjoying her new e-reader/tablet.

Barnes and noble.com has a discounted section. I have never paid more than $2.99 for a book
