Where the Magic Lives: The Official Album of Walt Disney World

Anyone familiar with this CD. My daughter wants this for Christmas and the only place I can find it available is online at Main Street Megastore for 32.99.
Ever heard of the web site or anyone have another idea? I googled it and other web sites showed up but none had in stock.

You might try Barnes & Noble....I saw this CD there a few weeks ago. I remember I was really surprised to see it! They also had Disney's Happiest Celebration CD.

If you can't find it though, I bought Disney's Greatest Hits Volumes 1 & 2 and they are great CD's!
All the best Disney songs, I listen to them all the time.

Call or email WDW merchandising - I'm sure even with shipping added, it'll be cheaper than Main Street Megastore.

This is one of our family's favorite albums.

I called MDSE Guest Services at 407-363-6200 and the operator was not able to find it. (This number is on the receipt of WDW purchases). I was under the impression you could get any merchandise that WDW sells at this number and she verified this is true, but said it might not be for sale any longer. I could swear I saw it in gift shops when we were there in October. Maybe another Dis-er who's there now could look for you. They did have the 50th Anniversary 2 CD set which has many of the same songs but more.

You could also try emailing WDW.MAIL.ORDER@DISNEY.COM but she doesn't think they will have it either. Amazon.com had it but is sold out.

I think the "Where the Magic Lives" is indeed the old one, we got it last year. This year, the new 2 CD set is the one that is available. It has ALMOST the exact same songs, but with many new ones added. Get her the new one, she will enjoy it!

We had a terrible time with that site last year. I would never ever recommend it to anyone. I know others haven't had a bad time, and i am glad for them. But I would not ever buy from them again.

OK, Kathy - you are really in luck!! The track you mentioned above is not on the Where Magic Lives Album, it is only on the newer album, The Happiest Celebration on Earth. We have the latter too, LOL, and I just checked both. So that one you can order from the nummber I posted above. (I've not had a bad experience with them in ordering things a few times. In fact, while I was on the phone this afternoon the operator also checked on some men's ties for me and described them all over the phone).


Because things like this drive me nuts (when I know I saw something) I called the Everything Pop gift shop since I could swear I saw Where Magic Lives when we were there in October. A very nice CM named Gabi (?sp) checked for me and if it was there they no longer have it. (It'll be interesting to see if MyGoofy26 finds it anywhere). But it sounds like that's not the one you wanted anyway. I'd just order the other, it has what you are looking for and a lot of other awesome songs. Some of the sites you looked at will list all the songs. Good Luck!!

Now you really have me confused. I just check amazon.com and "Where the Magic Lives" (2003) has Destiny Mission Space listed as a track but Happiest Celebration does not. (Happiest Celebration starts with the Disneyland dedication and ends with Leann Rimes "Remember When".) Is this different from what your actual CD is?

Yes it is and it's great! They have a CD that's JUST Wishes. It's the entire "fireworks" version and then at the end they do an actual song out of the chorus. I got it last year and when I start getting that itch, I throw it in and turn it up - great on those days I'm in the car by myself, LOL!

Please tell me-is this the one with the black cover, except for the picture of Jiminy Cricket with his umbrella? I really hope so! When I took Mom to WDW in May, she loved Wishes, so I bought this CD for her for a Christmas present. Hope I got the right one!

Thanks so much for your help. I figured out there is a one and two disc set and that is the reason for my confusion! Happiest Celebration has almost all the songs that Where the Magic Lives does with few exceptions!

I picked up the Happiest Celebration 2-disc set on our November trip and saw it all over the place in December also. I believe it was $24.99 in the parks. It is terrific. It has the song from Soarin' on it, which I just love.

I really regretted not purchasing the "Happiest Celebration" 2-disc set on our recent trip, so today I ordered it from WDW Merchandise at the number someone posted above.
It was $24.99 plus shipping (and the shipping was $$$!!). The shipping options were $10.99 for UPS ground (10-20 business days) or USPS Priority with Signature ($18.99, the only timeframe given was "guaranteed by Christmas").

Hope this helps somebody.

I couldn't stomach the $18.99 for shipping so I ordered it this morning from
mouseshoppe.com. I got an e-mail saying they already shipped it (so I am keeping my fingers crossed). It was 32 plus 6.28 shipping (so I only saved about $5 over wdw merchandising.)

I ordered "Where the Magic Lives" from Main Street Megastore (same as shop the parks) last night and I got an email this morning that it was no longer available.
