Where should I use my Magical Wishes to eat?

I'm going to be staying at Disney World by myself a few days after my sister and her kids leave. I have booked a Dreammaker Silver package, and I'll have a total of six Magical Wishes. I will be using three of those wishes for two tours and the Hoop Dee Doo. What restaurants would you go to if you had a few Magical Wishes to use? I'm considering Whispering Canyon Cafe, the Concourse Steakhouse, ESPN Club, and/or the San Angel Inn. Any thoughts, comments, recommendations?

Hi, Karen!

My DW and I did a pkg in Nov. that had the wishes. On this board I learned the average value of each wish is roughly between $35 - $45. So if you want to get the most value for each wish, you'll want to eat at some of the more expensive places. Some of the places you are considering may be good, but Whispering Canyon Cafe would be a waste of a wish. Their food is ok, but it is well under $35.

Agree with Eeyore1954 that magical wishes would cost you about $35 per wish. so visit places that are upscale to get your money back. I went to WDW with that pacakge last October and really enjoy having sit-down dinners and ordering the most expensive meals off hte menu with my DH.

The others are right about getting your moneys worth. If you want to try a resturant at WL try Artist Point. We loved the food in the past and are planning on dinner there in March.
California Grill, and Le Cellier are also favorites of ours.

Just a few of my favorites where DH and I got our monies worth on magical wishes:

Hollywood Brown Derby
Wolfgang Puck's Cafe (DD Westside)
Teppanyaki

We ate at many other restaurants, but those were the ones where we really came out on top. One of the most expensive meals we had was our $80 lunch, yes I said lunch, at WGP! I loved it, so much as a matter of fact, DH and I did it twice. We dined at San Angel Inn also and came out on top. It wasn't a favorite, but the atmosphere was to die for! Have fun and enjoy!

Not sure how this will work for you, I'm sure you'd have to kick in more money, but how about the ULTIMATE... the Chef's Table at Victoria & Albert's at the GF? Now, that's livin'! ;)

I don't think you can do the Chef's Table at V&A with wishes.
Also, certain restaraunts require 2 wishes. I looked for the list but can't find it. If I do, I will post back with those restaraunts.

Got this from the Disney website. Hope it helps:

I'd suggest the Hollywood Brown Derby (MGM), Le Cellier, and Chefs de France (Epcot). It looks like these are all one wish restaurants and trust me - you can work up a whopper of a tab with that wish ;). We did a package with meals for our honeymoon (a long time ago) and these restaurants give you a lot of value for your wish. The food is very good and the atmosphere is great. These are all more upscale meals.

We were disappointed in our last meal at San Angel Inn. We were on a package (Candlelight Processional) and the waiter said our choices for certain things were limited :(. The food was disappointing as well.

I would suggest Le Cellier also.. Mmmm, and Portobello Yacht Club at DTD (ironically still one wish) and either Brown Derby or Chef's de France :)

We used vouchers at the Hoop Dee Do Review. That is a great value! Also brown derby with the fantasmic priority seating.

We did this package last summer, it was called the Discovery Magic Package then. Some of the resturants we used our wishes were: CRT, Fulton's, Chef Mickey's, Garden Grill, Mama Melrose just to name a few. Except for Chef Mickey's we used our wishes during dinner. We felt like we would get more out of our money if we used them for dinner instead of b-fast and lunch.
