Where should I put the sandwich?? BREAKFAST UPDATE

Are his arms broken? Surely a grown man can manage to make something to eat if he is hungry and can't wait for dinner hour!

Sounds like my FIL. He would literally go hungry if my MIL did not make him three meals a day. He's as dependent as a three year old. Honestly, how can someone live like that.

:lmao: My FIL is the same way.

It actually pisses off my DH- to be so unable to fix food. Or to serve your OWN PLATE of food !
:sad2:

This is my mother's favorite saying. I guess that's where I get my snarky from!

He sounds like a spoiled baby. I wouldn't have made the sandwich in the first place.

I usually make dinner but there's really no guarantee of that either. :goodvibes

Thanks for all the advice! No my husband is not an invalid nor does he have broken arms (though I question that every day). I confess, Im an enabler. I cut the apron strings between him and his mom 20 years ago and attached him to mine.

In his defense, he works 6 days a week. I do the laundry/cooking/most of the cleaning, but he takes care of the landscape, all of snowblowing/shoveling, empties the trash around the whole house, mops the floors, does most household repairs etc....

He cooked dinner about 15 years ago, confusing pasta sauce with tomato sauce. Needless to say it was gross and for the following 15 years whenever I ask him to make a meal, he'll say "Nobody likes my cooking, Im not going to waste food making something nobody will eat." He has used that line for 15 years...and hes serious!

So, as Im preparing to send my oldest off to college, shopping, packing, getting paperwork together, making lists...and working full time and taking care of the house...the sandwich thing caught me off guard and yes, I was ticked.

So, as a previous poster said..go back downstairs and the sandwich will probably be gone, it was. He ate it. As for the rest of the chicken for which I was planning to make Chix/Broc/Ziti Alfredo with salad for dinner..well...I made 6 more chicken clubs! Called "Dinner" and everyone came to the kitchen.

The look on my husbands face....PRICELESS.

I just smiled and until now, have not said a word to him!!

Good for you!!!

OK, I know you've come back to update but I'm still shaking my head over the idea that you are serving him as though you work for him! PLEASE!:furious:
I don't care how many days a week he works - he's an adult who is more than capable of feeding himself when hungry. If you continue to enable him, he will continue to treat you with the same disrespect he showed you today.

Guess what my hubby had waiting for him for breakfast this morning!!

He said "Funny!", then grabbed a muffin and poured his coffee (he makes his own coffee..I dont even drink the stuff...)

He left for work and opened the door to his car. Guess what was waiting on the front seat??!!!!!

He took that one and threw it on the lawn. I think he's getting the point.

So glad you took my advice. :rotfl:

Im taking everyones advise seriously!

Im still thinking about the shoes!

Im not wasting anymore chix though. Last two actually had a fried egg to make it look more bulky. I used lots of lettuce and one piece of bacon, but made sure it was sticking out the sides!! Hes not even giving them a good look!
