I won't let my 10 yr old see. They get lockers for the first time this year, they have to share, but I know she wants to decorate it.

I love those pictures and the mental image of my aunt making the trek.

All the disco balls were sold out! I guess they were a hot item! LOL!

Ohhh gorgeous! I'd love to visit Hawaii someday. I likes the first Pirates the best. I didn't see the last one and the 2nd one I was sleeping during half of it because I was still jet lagged from my Italy trip!

The first one is my favorite, too. The first movies in trilogies are almost always my favorite ones.

Chelsea is very funny! Right now she is pretty miserable because she spent all day at the pool yesterday with friends and didn't put any sunblock on.

I would love it if my aunt could snag a picture of Captain Jack!

Yes it is that time again...time to get back to work!! WHERE did our Summer go Jackie??? Although I have to admit I do love back to school shopping!!! Wal-Mart has such great deals on school supplies I totally stock up!!!

Thank you SOO much for the pictures and info from your aunt! I did a little happy dance when I saw them. I LOVE the Pirates movies and have been wondering when they were supposed to start/finish filming. You pretty much just made my day. LOL

Ah, I am so glad! I was very excited to see the pictures and to know they are filming! Maybe next summer we will have a new movie!

Yes, sadly, it is time for back to school shopping. Open house is tonight. I just wish I could find some cute work clothes that fit. I think I need a personal shopper.

So cool!! I told my B/F about it, he was super jealous and immediately wanted me to show him the pictures.

Disco ball in the locker, I love it! I always forget that you guys get out and go back earlier than we do. I don't think my sister got out till June 23 or 24 -- had there been snow days to make up (outside of the 4-5 "free" days), it would have been even later. Last year, they went back to school before Labor Day since it fell kind of late in the month, but everyone was up in arms about it b/c going back before Labor Day is unheard of.

By Labor Day, we will have been back for almost a month. LOL!

Love the pirate ship pictures. We were able to go on one of the ships they used for the first movie. It visited her the weekend after Thanksgiving in 2008. It was the same ship used in the "Bounty" movie.

Fun!!!

I may have to do some movie stalking in the future. The 2 parts of Breaking Dawn are going to be filmed here in Baton Rouge. It's all the buzz. Some one I know is on the production crew and scouts locations. She can't give any information due to signing a contract. I also know one of the guards for the movie lot. He has been sworn to silence too. He did tell me it looks like western town down there right now due to the filming of "The Big Valley" remake. They even had Lee Majors in it. He's going to play his old character's dad.

That is so neat that Breaking Dawn is being filmed down in Louisiana! I always love movies set there! It's one of my favorite settings!

So you start meetings tomorrow? It all starts for us next Tuesday...
We have a flex day on Friday the 13th so I won't be working that day then the kids come on the 16th.
As I recall, you all ended about a week before we did and I was green with envy!
Good luck tomorrow Jackie, just remember this early start gets us out in May!

Yes, I love getting out in May! Faculty meeting yesterday and then working in our rooms; more working in our rooms today and Open House tonight; tomorrow more meetings and getting ready for the kids to arrive on Monday.

Sorry you are back at school today.
Try to find a few minutes for some kind of Disney fun.

It was pretty painless. It was good seeing all of my colleagues again and getting my room set up. Tonight is Open House, so I am practicing my Tour Guide Barbie smile.

I didn't even know they had a Pirates 4 in the making. I've seen all the movies, but I don't really follow it along - they were alright, but not something I'm really into.

I am all about pirates! Even before the movies, I loved the ride and any book that featured pirates. I know more mindless pirate trivia than anyone probably should. LOL!

MeMom - he's not my type either!!! I'm glad I'm not alone! I don't think he's unattractive, but I don't really find the allure that most women do to him!

I wouldn't want to eat breakfast across from him every morning, but I do find that he has some of the best lines of any character in movie history. LOL!

Jackie - I hope your first day goes smoothly! Hard to believe that time of year is already here.

The first day back went pretty well -- a lot of talking and catching up, but that's to be expected.

No disco ball for us -- they were sold out.

We were talking about Johnny Depp the other day, and Charles mentioned his 21 Jump Street days! I remember watching that show all the time!

Our local district started yesterday too. I'm so jealous because Phoebe has another week to go. All the local parents on my FB are singing "It's the most wonderful time of the year".

I have seen a lot of comments like that on my Facebook, too. I can promise you none of the teachers are singing that song.

I really want to take a peek at the new DVC resort on Oahu. I would like to stay there but it is kind of out of the way from Waikiki beach.

It seems that the summers speed by a lot faster than they used to in the past The kids here go back to school Aug.18, open house will be on the 17th. Since we are empty nesters I don't keep track of school starting & vacations are whenever we want to go. Usually we like to vacation when school starts.

The Hawaii pictures were great to see, I would love to go there, but that is an awful long plane ride.

I can't wait for new updates of your vacation.

It is fun to see those signs that show you are getting closer and closer to WDW!

There is an entrance into Epcot from the Beach Club area -- it is right between Great Britain and France. It's so lovely to enter into World Showcase instead of doing that long walk from the main entrance.

It went fine -- I had one parent (she has been a thorn in my side for two years) who wanted to tell me what to teach, but it was nice seeing my other students and parents who like me.
