Where on rides you WISH you'd break down at?

I don't know if the breakdowns described in this thread are all recent but it sure seems there have been a lot of breakdowns. When we were in WDW last week SM, Big Thunder, Test Track, Dinosaur, Buzz all were down. Big Thunder and TT for hours, SM would be down, then up, then down again.
We had to crawl out of our train on Big Thunder on the incline before the waterfall near the beginning which was interesting. It was down a long time after that.

I started to get a complex about me being the jinx causing the breakdowns, since as we hopped from park to park, we found more breakdowns. Next time we go, I'll post our itinerary so y'all can plan around me.

My wish for a ride-breakdown came true. I wished to be stuck on Skyway at MK, overlooking Fantasyland. And it happened-on my first solo trip! Since I was the only one in the car, I guess the CM was afraid I'd freak out, so he came under my car and yelled up "Don't worry, Ma'am, we'll have it going again soon." He probably thought I was just being polite when I told him there was no hurry, but it's true-I was loving it. Put my feet up and just enjoyed the view!

It would be cool to break down in Buzz, just for the chance to max out on points

I would love to get stuck:

Peter Pan when you're flying over London (I know that's so pathetic but that scene is so cool! :teeth: )

That would be my favorite place to break down. I still have a vivid memory of that from our family trip in 1975.

This is a no brainer for my husband and myself.
We have been trying for years to find the hidden mickey in Spaceship Earth by the sleeping monk.
If we could break down right there, we might just finally be able to find it.
But then again, who knows, maybe it isn't there anymore!!

I would like to be in the group that breaks down at the Ballroom Scene on HM..that would be fun. Just love to sit and watch them and see all the things you do not notice as you move by and never get to see... :cool1:

While it's not too likely that you'll get stuck due to break down on safari, you can still quiet easilly get stuck. About 3 or 4 trips ago, we got held up for about 10-15 minutes because the giraffes wouldn't get off the road! IT was pretty cool to see them up close like that for awhile!

I would LOVE to get stuck in the Ballroom at the Haunted Mansion. I could sit there forever..... I would love to have to be walked out & get to see behind the scenes a little there....

That happened to us last trip. I was so ticked after 5 minutes when we started moving again! I wanted to sit there for hours!!!

I'd like to get stuck on either Tower of Terror or Splash Mountain, even though i'd be scarred out of my wits if it ever happened! It would be cool to see the rides though.

The coolest place we were ever stuck was at the end of Spaceship Earth. It was the scene with the view of earth from space- so pretty and peaceful.

I'd like to get stuck on the place kinda at the beginning of Splash Mountain....I think it's the birds' house, where you come around and there's a great view of the MK below. I love that place!!

2 years ago I was on Buzz with about a 1/3 of my family: me in the wheelchair vehicle, my Dad and niece in the vehicle ahead of me, my SIL and nephew ahead of him, and my brother and his son behind me. (It was a "magic moment" in that my dad, niece and I went together and by the time we were boarded my brother and his group happened to be next in line at the regular queue.)

The ride stopped just as we were entering the warp tunnel. (If you get stuck there, turn your vehicle around and face backwards to dampen the dizzying effect.)

My dad got dizzy, my SIL racked up more and more points, and I was distracted by the screaming behind me. Turns out it was my brother. His 3 yr old son got hold of the controls and kept spinning them around and around. (He's not allowed to drive anymore.) We were stuck about 20 minutes but no one prompted us to exit.

I whipped out my digital camera and snapped pictures of our group. It was one of the highlights of our trip.

As a side note, last summer I was on the river rapids ride in Busch Gardens Williamsburg with my sis and 5 yr old nephew. The ride broke down and we had to exit. Meant a hairy trip across a creeky wooden gangway, up a 45 degree long ramp and a chair ride up and over the loading steps. I was fine with it (had a work out managing the gangway and ramp), but those waiting in line weren't. (It wasn't my doing that caused the ride to break down.) The staff were so worried about us, they ended up giving us one-day entry passes for the park. Turned an ordeal into a positive.

I say, as long as no one draws blood or needs a trip to the doctor, breakdowns are always occasions for fun.

We broke down at Disneyland's Splash Mountain as we were climbing up to the final drop. There are 2 buzzards looking at you. I was panicked. I am always so nervous for the drop. I honestly wanted to get out of the log. We were stuck for like 15 mins and my panic level was topping out. :scared: well...it finally moved and I survived. :worship:

HM ballroom. This is an area that needs a lot of time to see everything going on.
