Where on Christmas Day if staying at BCV?

Only a week to go before making our ADR's for our Christmas trip! I'm still trying to decide what we should do on Christmas Day. I've thought about Cape May (since we're staying at BCV) or somewhere in Epcot since we can walk there from BCV.

But I am concerned about what we'll run into if we decide to try Epcot...does anyone have any hints or tips?

Thanks!

Deb

We've only been twice during that week and both times we did the Candlelight Processional dinner package on Christmas night. What a perfect way to celebrate the day!!!

Epcot wasn't bad at all either of our trips although we really just went in for the show and dinner. But it was easy to get around.

Epcot tends to handle the Christmas crowds better than the other themeparks, so if you must do a themepark that would be my vote.

I've not been to WDW on Christmas, but I would think I'd want a "nicer" dinner for that day. I might try the Yachtsman Steakhouse

Have you experienced the Candlelight Processional? If not, doing so might change your mind.:goodvibes

But I know what you mean. We had Christmas Eve dinner at Citricos one of our two Christmas trips to give us our elegant Christmas dinner.

But the CP is truly wonderful. I get chills thinking of it.

I'm glad you enjoyed the CP so much. I did see it the last time we visited the first of December. We are returning for the first two weeks of December this year and aren't planning to see it again. I enjoyed the show, but it wasn't my favorite Christmas activity at the world.

The reason I say I'd go with a "nicer" dinner is that I think I'd want a more traditional, less stressful Christmas dinner.

We're at the BCV on Christmas as well. I'm thinking about an ADR at Flying Fish at the Boardwalk. I've heard very good things about it, and it's nearby.

Yes, we really do enjoy it...all six of us every time we've gone. And we haven't found it stressful at all to go to Epcot for dinner and the show the two times we've gone on Christmas night.

Speaking of traditions, ours has been too have a standing rib roast aka prime rib at home for Christmas dinner. So our two Christmas dinners we chose R&C and two of our "kids" ordered that. It's no longer on the menu so I guess we'll be looking elsewhere if we're ever back for Christmas dinner and the CP.

The first two weeks of Dec. are such a great time to be at WDW. Have fun!!!

Nice choice.:thumbsup2

Thanks for the confirmation! Now to just get that ADR - I can't make mine until 6/23!

actually, that's a good idea too...if we decide we don't want to venture into Epcot.

We are going to try to do the Candlelight Processional, but we're hoping for Christmas Eve instead of Christmas Day. Since we have to make our ADR's before our CP reservation, I want to make sure we're all set up for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day first.

June 24 is the day we can make our ADR's so I've got another week and a half to figure it all out :)

Thanks for all the suggestions!

Sounds like my plan as well - I'd like to get CP on Christmas Eve I think. I've heard a rumor that CP packages will open on 6/23 which is also my ADR day, so I'm going to ask about that first when I call. If it's not really open for reservations that day, I think I will just book something else for Christmas Eve dinner, but I need to figure that out.

Listening in too since we will be there for our first Xmas eve and Day and want to make it a Happy one. :santa:
