If anyone is looking for this DVD contact WDW merchandising at 407-363-6200. It's $19.95 plus $9.95 shipping and handling.

This is less expensive than a web store which offers the same DVD for $35.00 and never seems to have the DVD to ship. I ordered on 5/9/03 and never received it. I contacted them and got several messages stating that it would be 2-5 days and 3-8 days. Each deadline was missed so I finally canceled the order.

According to WDW Merchandising they have it in stock. We'll see if they do any better.

I'm disappointed in the web store both for price and delivery and at this point probably would not order from them again. If you want their name please feel free to PM.

What is the DVD about? I never heard of it.

Basically the DVD takes you through all the atttractions at WDW. Kind of like a virtual vacation but much more detailed than the vacation planning video, I think it runs over 90 minutes. I'll try to get the blurb from the website.

Are they just clips from the rides, like the short ones in specials or like someone took a camera on for the full ride?

It sounds interesting, but I wonder how much different is it from the FREE video that you get from Disney???

See I'd pay money for something like WDW Explorer, but when you click on an attraction, it goes to video of the entire ride or show. I considered making one for myself, but it seemed like way too daunting a task to take on without getting funds for it.

Interesting, I wonder how much detail it really has. I purchased a DVD about the holiday happenings at WDW, but it wasn't nearly as detailed as I had hoped. It's very short too.

supposed to be fairly detailed. There is not much narration like the free vacation planning video just attraction related video. So far I haven't seen it but when it show up I'll send my thoughts along to the board.

It is extremely similar to the 100 years version. Save your $ and buy the 100 years one from the outlets or ebay. The dvd starts out with some commentary by Walt Disney, then goes on to show clips of the rides, shows, attractions in each park. It is definetly worth buying (over the free travel version). Be weary if you have an earlier version of this dvd, though. Some of the clips are pretty old. I like it because even though it does not show full versions of the rides, the clips of them are much better than we could have shot them (like the HM). I was disappointed that it did not show Fantasmic. If you are looking for full versions of the rides, buy one of the home videos from ebay. I have purchased some of these, and while they are not great for people who have never been to WDW, and the picures are not great, it is enough to bring back memories of the magic. Nothing is as good as the real thing, though!
