My usual polling place is in a church, but I voted early in a library. There are tons of polling places in my neighborhood, including schools, churches, libraries, fire stations, and even the lobby of an elderly living facility.
I had to drive 2.5 miles to vote this time; usually I just walk the two blocks.
Edited to add:
These are the polling places in my immediate neighborhood, going out of my front door:
If I walk 2 blocks NW - church
4 blocks W -church
2 blocks NE- library
3 blocks E- school
2 blocks SE- church (my polling place)
The polling places are about 10 blocks apart, so there is always one within walking distance. Makes it confusing if you don't know exactly where you're going. "Is that the church on ___ St, or the one on ______ Ave.?"
