Where is your polling place?

Ours is at a park too! Except we have a building - so no slide for me.

The church down the street. Before that was the high school that was 3 minutes from my house and before that it was the grade school four blocks over.

My polling place is in my mailbox. I live in a mail in precinct because there are not 200 registered voters in my area - there are barely 200 people.

I vote at a local school, but for whatever reason the voting districts are different than the school districts so instead of going to the school my DD goes to that's .4 miles from my house I get to go to a different school in a not so nice neighborhood.

Our elementary school. I was laughing last night watching AC360. They were showing people voting at a mall in Nevada! Didn't look very private to me.:confused3

Public library, but have voted at churches, schools, and neighborhood clubhouses.

Most of the places where I've lived I voted at a local school. I've also voted at the firehouse a few times. The most unusual place I've voted is a Volskwagen dealership. At least all of them have been indoors.

At an:) elementary school in the next town, not to mention I have to go past the elementary school in my own town on the way there, Just bizzare and more waste of my time and gas but that is the joy of living here, lol.

We currently vote in the social quarters of a trailer park near my house. On the way there I drive by two other precincts....one in a church the other in a fire company. I think it is a good lesson in humanity for our neighborhood to vote at the trailer park because the wealthiest developments in our township (not the one we live in though) are in our precinct and I think that some forgot how other people live.

I have also voted in a church/daycare center and a township garage. In our area they do not close schools so very few polling places are in them. Mainly fire companies, churches and township buildings.

Ours is at the elementary school up the street, but we were able to take advantage of early voting at the grocery store near our house.

I vote at the school around the corner from my house. There were a few years when the school went from public to private and they wouldn't allow voting to be held there. Those years I went to a house on the next block. They had the voting in their garage. Now its back to the school around the corner.

In my town, we vote at the 2 different fire stations. In a town close to us, one of the votinglocations is at a church rectory. I find that quite intriguing.

Our local fire department about 5 miles away. DH and I plan to go early to hopefully avoid a long wait. :thumbsup2

My usual polling place is in a church, but I voted early in a library. There are tons of polling places in my neighborhood, including schools, churches, libraries, fire stations, and even the lobby of an elderly living facility.

I had to drive 2.5 miles to vote this time; usually I just walk the two blocks.

Edited to add:

These are the polling places in my immediate neighborhood, going out of my front door:

If I walk 2 blocks NW - church
4 blocks W -church
2 blocks NE- library
3 blocks E- school
2 blocks SE- church (my polling place)

The polling places are about 10 blocks apart, so there is always one within walking distance. Makes it confusing if you don't know exactly where you're going. "Is that the church on ___ St, or the one on ______ Ave.?"
