Where is the walkway from SOG to Poly?

i dont think there is a walkway to SOG from Poly, it would be a long walk...

there is a beautiful walkway from the poly to the GF thru the wedding pavilion and past the GF spa. it is a nice 10 minute walk.

I don't remember seeing any signs, but it is easy to find. When you go out the front entrance of SOG, turn left and follow the sidewalk down the long driveway/street up to the resort. The sidewalk goes the whole way past the security guard and out to the street. Cross the street and you are on the Poly property. Continue following the walkway under the monorail and through the Poly area to the main building. The monorail entrance is upstairs and outside the main building. There may be other ways to get there once you cross the street to the Poly but we enjoyed walking through the grounds. I think if you go right after you cross the street, you may end up in the Poly parking lot and can go in the main building from there, but I'm not sure - maybe someone else can describe if there is another way to get there!
Sometimes the "Shady Shuttle" will be around to drive you from the street back up to SOG, or the other way around. He basically just follows the same path - drives on the sidewalk down to the street.

Which way does the monorail run? From the Poly to TTC or to the GF?

We are staying at SOG and have a lot of reservations for activities at the GF... wondering how to get there the easiest!

The monorail runs clockwise.


Go to that aerial photo mentioned in a previous post and zoom out two steps, and you can see where all three resorts are in relation to each other.

Rhiansmom- The walkway from SOG to the POLY is basically a sidewalk running along the driveway of SOG. You can't miss it. When you get to the end of the SOG driveway, the POLY is across the street. The walk is not bad (about 10 minutes). The resort monorail runs from POLY to GF to MK etc. I suppose you could walk all the way to the GF. I would guess it would be an additional 10 minutes.

Sometimes you can catch a ride on a golf cart (the shady shuttle) from SOG down the walkway to the end of the driveway. It is not a scheduled thing. If the gold cart is in front of the hotel when you walk out just ask the driver for a ride to the poly. We gave the driver a few bucks tip.

To get back to SOG from GF you could 1) walk, 2) take monorail 4 stops to POLY and walk, 3) take monorail to TTC and catch SOG bus, 4) take a cab from GF to SOG.

Will you have a car? If you have a PS at the GF you should be able to drive to the GF and park.

off topic, but has anyone heard if the new Magic Express shuttle will include SOG in the future? Hoping that it will be extended to include SOG like the extra evening hrs were.

Thanks so much! We won't have a car as it's just my daughter and I going this time around and I am too chicken to drive with just her. So the Shady shuttle is different from the SOG bus? I guess I was thinking they were the same thing?

The bus is a large bus (like the disney resort buses) that goes from the SOG to TTC. There is another one that serves MGM and AK etc. We never used it so I don't have the details. These run on a set schedule.

The "shady shuttle" is a golf cart that runs to the end of the drive way. It is hit or miss, but it is convenient when you catch it!
