I thought I saw it somewhere, but I have looked and can't find it.:confused3

If all the new DVC resorts that are opening up at WDW sleep 5 in their studio's, then why is GCV still sleeping only 4 in them ? I know AKV value studio's only sleep 4 but the rest advertise 5 now.

Also a 1 bdroom for the week is the same point cost as 2 studio's for that same week. So slepp 5 wiht a kitchen or sleep 8 with a mini kitchen?? I would go for the 2 studio's! It still ahs a fridge so I can make sandwhiches and basic meals like cereal for breakfast. Chances are I wouldn't be in the room to make a lunch or dinner anyways.

I hope they're really re-doing it because a 2 bedroom is way less than booking each room seperate and a 3 bedroom is more than double what a 2 bedroom goes for!! Why would anyone ever booka 3 bedroom at that price???

I'm also not happy about the 1 BR point requirement. I'm purchasing VGC to be able to stay in a 1BR, so they must think I'm in the majority (we don't do vacations well if we can't get a good night's sleep, and kids aren't old enough to be in their own studio yet).
Given last week's WDW point chart changes, DVC may change VGC charts later once they have some actual historical demand to work with (so those purchasing just enough points to stay in a VGC studio for x # of nights should plan for a possible point increase). Regarding the 3BR, there are only 2 GV's, so I think they figured the expected demand for a category with only 2 units warranted the higher point requirement, and this allows them to keep other units lower (relatively speaking). I'm personally happy about that as I don't see myself ever booking a GV, but am happy to enjoy the lower point requirements for the other units as a result ;)

As far as I know, none of the studios anywhere sleep 5. Some of the new 1BR sleep 5, while the older 1BRs sleep 4. But if you've seen a studio that sleeps 5, I'd like to hear about it!

I agree, it's the 1 bedrooms that officially sleep 5 because of the small fold out chair in the living room. Studios are still 4, there's no room for a fold out chair.

sorry, you are right about the studio's. Don't know what my brain was thinking.
