I would like to know the best "spot" to get picture of Cinderella's castle with our family. Every time I take pictures there are a lot of people in the background. I've seen some good ones on here. If you have other suggestions of places, I'll take them too!

It's all relative to time of day and personal preference. Alot of people like those direct shots, but I also like those "side shots"

My favorite spot is the bridge from the hub to Libery Square. There will not be very many people in that shot. The other side on the walkway to Tomorrowland beside the castle is good, but you probably need a wide angle, so if you are using a p&s, you might not be happy with the amount you have to leave out of the shot. I also like getting very close to it and pointing up for the shot.

My answer would be "Walt Disney World". :lmao: I slay me!

Deletedpenguin, technically that's Sleeping Beauty Castle, but I agree with your point.

Ultimately, the castles are really designed to be viewed straight-on while walking down Main St - it may be the same view as so many other people take photos from, but it's still a good one.

But it looks good from the sides, behind, or even from the Contemporary Resort... if you're willing to venture out to the stairwell. :)

I have to agree with deletedpenguin - I love seeing shots from the side. Always something a little different and tends to catch my eye more so than the full front view.

Wow! Great pictures and great suggestions! I'm going in December, so I'll be concidering the suggestions. I hope that I'll get some shots half as good as some of the ones I'll seen. Any more suggestions out there? :thumbsup2

Here are some I took with my "then new" Canon Powershot S2 a year ago:

See what I mean? I really hope to get a better one in December! Thanks for all of the suggestions!

I think there are nice shots to be had from all sides. This was taken from the rear of the castle in Fantasyland.

I took this one to the left of the castle, I think going towards liberty square. It was pretty quiet that morning, and during a busier time, I don't know what the foot traffic would be like. We also had several pics taken from main street, but none that I loved. We were there in december also, and on this day we were at MK for opening, and the front of the castle was relatively empty.

How about from the ramp to the entrance, with a tripod?

This was just after they'd shoo'ed most people away because Wishes was starting soon, so I had the ramp all to myself. :thumbsup2

This is from 1995, with my K1000... I like this angle.

And you hustled Michael out there while he was still finishing his breakfast! :rotfl: Cute pic!

I like it from the Liberty Square bridge side too. Though for more of a full length shot of the people you want in the photo I like the walkway towards Tomorrowland. I believe there is a "Kodak Picture Spot" there.

I also like the side shots.

this one is taken on the bridge leading from the side of fantasyland to the hub.

This was taken just before the bridge to tomorrowland. There was a photopass photographer right there as well. I just stayed out of his way.

Then I walked down into the rose garden a lil bit and took this one.

The back side of the castle is quite pretty! Although I had to crop the bottom part off here, cause there were just too many people in the picture!

Also, here's a side view, better chance of no people in the shot!
