If you're looking for an excuse to check out Celebration, you gotta try Kilwins. They have the best ice cream I've ever had anywhere, any time. Yum!!

Okay, I hear all the time about these Dole Whips. What are they??? is it ice cream or frozen fruit or yogurt. I NEED TO KNOW ITS DRIVING ME NUTS

There are several Dole Whips to which people refer. It is soft serve ice cream. There is a pineapple Dole Whip and a pineapple/vanilla swirl Dole Whip (my favorite). I got the pineapple one once and was disappointed. Some folks refer to the Dole Whip float when they talk about Dole Whips. You are on you own on that one.

Are you asking about the ice cream quality or the overall ice cream shop "experience"? If the latter, B&C is a great place as others have said if you can get in without a huge wait. For ice cream quality and variety, Ghiradelli's or the fountain at the Dolphin are good choices. As someone has said, the gelato at the Beach Club Villa Marketplace is also outstanding. Most of the ice cream at WDW is Edy's now.

Wow! Great pictures, thanks for posting! I didn't know there was a gelato place at the Beach Club--definitely on my must-do list for next trip. Also I missed the Dole Whip last trip so that's way up there too.

This thread made me remember that there's a yummy tub of Peach & Mango frozen yogurt in my freezer...not as good as being at WDW and eating gelato or Dole Whips but it will have to do for now!

I had really really good chocolate icecream in Epcot at France. I got it from the cart that sells the crepes. Best soft serve I have had in Disney so far.

This post is potentially ruining my diet. We are staying at the BCV in 2 weeks with free dining. We have a party of 8 and are considering the Kitchen Sink on our pool day. I love Dole whips, but tried the Dole Whip float and considered it to be too much of a mess, The gelato at the BC Marketplace also looks good. I have recently lost about 75 lbs. on a low-fat, low-carb diet, but I am going to reward myself at WDW (we're on free dining). I figure that I will walk off the calories in the parks and at the pool, anyway. It is all too tempting.

John - I totally agree with that -- we have a Kilwin's in Annapolis and it is hands down the best ice cream I have ever had!

If your looking for good ice cream, chances are you'll find something everyone likes at Beaches and Cream. Also the Main Street Bakery has ice cream and huge ice cream sandwiches that you can create yourself. Another place would be the Plaza ice cream parlor. Hope this helps and enjoy
