Breaking News!
Universal dropped HHN dates and tickets! I am really excited! I was able to purchase the premium scream night! It is on 8/28, just one night with low crowds, staggered house entrance so you don’t feel as rushed, free food and drinks (-alcohol drinks). It looked awesome last year!
They have only announced one house Fallout, which honestly I know nothing about, I have never seen the show?? They also have Freddie’s 5 nights as something but they aren’t saying what. So wonder if it a scare zone or the Icon of the HHN.
We arrive at Disney the night before and will be staying at Disney on 8/28 but no worries we will do a Lyft to the event. We will do one more HHN the next week on 9/3 when we will be moving over to Universal! I’m so excited!
I’m all about Halloween in August, why not!

That is great! It is a very low crowd time in August. We were in WDW the last week of August in 2024 and I couldn't believe how empty the parks were.

First full day in Disney, yay! I woke up well rested and needed to treat myself to a Mickey waffle breakfast.

I had a cup of Earl Grey Tea in the room and it was really good, way better than the awful room coffee.

I mobile ordered a kids Mickey waffle meal, it came with 2 waffles, tater tots, chicken sausage and a small Diet Coke.

I hit I’m here start my order and walked down to the food court. My food was ready quickly. I picked some butter, syrup and my soda and headed back to my room.

Here is my delicious breakfast! The waffles and the tater tots were the bomb! The chicken sausage not so much, but two out of the three is a win!

I packed up my luggage and called for bell service. The CM came promptly and took my bags for resort transfer.

It was now time for my first park! It will be MK this beautiful morning. The weather was a little less humid and a nice breeze in the air! This was the best weather day of the whole trip. The rest of the days were sweltering, humid, and hot

I said goodbye to my AS room and headed to the bus stop.

The line was long for MK ugh! I was saved by an accordion bus, I think this was the first time I have ever been on one of these, which is crazy. I was able to get a seat, life is good.

My plan was JC first since it would be RD time for everyone when I arrived. I missed the 30 minute early entry by 30 minutes lol

Highlights for this chapter

My delicious kids Mickey Waffle breakfast and quiet AS Sport room/location.

10 minute wait on JC, a fun ride as always. RD for the win on this one.

Here is Mr. Smee wandering around Fantasy Land. He was hanging around Peter Pan Flight.

This was all an unexpected surprise and I loved it. I had read about roaming characters awhile back but totally forgot about it.

Peter Pan Flight another highlight. This was my first ride with my FP$$.

We stopped briefly by the Tiger Lilly scene and a snapped a picture. Again the highlights so far this morning are just little things but really made me smile


The lowlights so far this early morning were minimal to none. I did observe my first of many disinterested CMs, no hello, no acknowledgement when tapping into the park and tapping into PPF. This is sad! I also noticed people could and probably do sneak in the FP$$ line because often the CMs don’t even look up or check at the tap point!

I just don’t get this. I said hello several times and just a brief nod, just weird. I hope Disney is getting this info loud and clear because I am not the only one noticing this. It is all over social media Disney groups.

Lunch at CHH. I had the kids chicken strip meal with fries and green beans. It was really good and I had a seat upstairs along the windows looking out at HM. Everything was tasty, the green beans were yummy. I had a Diet Coke for my drink and of course plenty of water!

I loved it.

It was around 3pm when I filled my popcorn bucket and planned to head out.

The CM loved my old popcorn bucket from 2019!

I decided to catch a CBR bus and hope I got my room ready text on the way over.

Unfortunately, I did not get my text yet. I decided to get off at the first stop in Martinique and walked over to Riviera. It was the perfect time to pick up my favorite ice coffee from Le Petite. The Almond cold brew with homemade honey whipped cream. This is delicious. I sat down at the coffee shop and had some of my popcorn and enjoyed my coffee. I finally got my room ready text around 4pm.

I found out I was in Trinidad on the second floor of building 34. I had requested Jamaica 2nd floor so not what I requested! Will I like it?

I took the Skyliner over to CBR and asked the CM where Trinidad was from here. It was right across the lake.

I headed over! Stay tuned for a room review coming soon.

The lowlights-Not much except getting my room ready text a little later than I expected and a room/area I didn’t request.

Where is Dino Land? Early Spring Trip 2/27-3/9/25!

Hello There! I’m Caroline an avid Disney World fan, and a heck of a good one, if I do say so myself!

I have a very long history of traveling to Disney! I can’t get enough of it.

I am an AP holder at WDW and USO and have been for years!

I travel from Minnesota and visit the parks at least 3-4x a year!

This trip is with my sister Donna (D). Most of you, who follow my reports, know I travel most of the time with my daughter Andi. We both have a love for the parks and Andi is a walking encyclopedia on all things Disney!

Well Andi is an adult with a full time job and fiancé so she can’t travel with me as often as she could in the past.

Andi and I have an early September trip planned for this year to do all thing’s Halloween . We love Halloween time at the parks. We will be doing MNSSHP, HHN, and visiting the new Epic Universe at USO! I am really excited for the new park! I have to say most of the rides look too intense for me but wow it looks like an amazing park!

MY sister D is retired and has really enjoyed visiting Disney and USO with me so I planned this trip for us.

We will be staying at Disney’s Boardwalk Inn for 7 nights, Universal’s Portofino Bay for 2 nights and Universal’s Adventura for 1 night.

D had a 7 day PH for Disney and a 2 day park to park with 2 days free pass for Universal. I had my AP for both.

Our trip starts on 2/27/25. I worked from home for part of the day. We had a flight from Duluth to Minneapolis (2 hour layover) then on to Orlando.

The first flight was right on time and a quick 45-50 minutes later we were having a drink in the Delta Sky lounge. I honestly don’t know what I am drinking. I asked for a vodka cranberry and I think I got vodka/soda water?? I drank it, lol D had a beer. There was a nice buffet spread of food, however, we decided to head to a restaurant in the airport.

We split a bacon cheeseburger and buffalo spiced fried cauliflower.

This was a solid meal at the airport. Once we finished it was time to head to our gate for our flight to Orlando, yay!

Our flight was on time, we had comfort plus seats, a few drinks and snacks, and it was a decent flight, as far as flights go!

We landed in Orlando at 11:30pm. The airport was packed at this hour! MCO is always busy, I actually think it is less crowded midday than any other time.

After a restroom break, luggage grab, and arranging a Lyft, we were on our way to Disney! Our Lyft driver was a big whiner and complainer, he went on and on about the airport, traffic, his sad life, etc… I tried to just tune him out.

We arrive to BWI around 1am. I had received a text before we even leaved Minneapolis with our room ready text. The room was 4292 on the fourth floor. I looked it up and it was not a connecting room and had a balcony, yay! These were my requests.

I stopped at the front desk to make sure my MB would work since many times I have had problems getting into the room. It was dead in the lobby except for the creepy nanny chairs staring at me, haha There was a little old man and a young girl at the front desk. They were both so nice at 1am. Apparently the whole Disney computer system was not working at this hour, ugh! The sweet older man gave us celebrating buttons and a Birthday button for Donna. He also took us up to our room and opened it with a master key! He helped us with our luggage and gave us a little room tour. Our room was huge! You literally could dance in here. We loved it! Here are some pictures of the room!

I will do a little Magic or Tragic about each day, I am stealing this from All Ears catch phrase when describing things at Disney!

Magic= the easy travel day, good airport food, our big beautiful room, and such friendly CMs at 1am!

Tragic=super long day, room opening ability with MB was a big no, and the weird Lyft driver!

Stay tuned for our first full day at Disney!

We had an incredible strawberry cheesecake at the Riviera’s cafe on our visit last month. You should try next time!!

Sounds like an awesome first day. You were able to get so much done.

Quick question about the popcorn bucket, did they fill it for the refill price? Headed down with the family in 2 weeks and will pack one of ours from a previous trip if we can reuse it.
