What would you rate the top 5 places you've ever been? and the worst3 places you've been?

I've travelled pretty much around the globe and back but have missed out some major ones and would love to know what they're like and whether they're great or not ...

so where have you been and where would you like to go?

for me - I really want to do Japan and Australia ... Japan just intrigues me as its sooooo different, and Oz - well its Oz isnt it!

no hankering to go to Oz at all, although most of my best agent deals are to there, wouldn't mind New Zealand though.

oops - forgot to put mine:

worst 3 places ever been to:

Tunisia - hideous hotel, awful guests in the hotel, arrived just after the Afgan invasion in 2001 which meant we were under "hotel curfew" as the Tunisians were vehemently opposed to Bush and Blair

Dominican Republic, great hotel but hated the town and the people were "grabby"

India - saw things I never want to see again, although the Taj Mahal was totally amazing


Top 5 places:

Brazil - craaaazy!
Mexico - West coast, north of Acapulco, amazing
South Africa - all father family out there, great social, great scenery, great times
Anguilla - pure beach heaven
Hong Kong - oh god THE FOOD!!!

Absolutely the best place ever is Disneyworld don't really want to go anywhere else, but here is top 5 although nothing comes close imho!

1st - WDW - Florida

2nd - Las Vegas

3rd - Cancun

4th - Venice

5th - Disneyland California

I have liked most the places I have been to with the exception of Bulgaria and Yugoslavia (when it was whole) as I found the staff very rude and abrupt, nothing like the US. Not that keen on Jamaica either.

I really like Spain and especially Barcelona, which comes in at number 6.

Florida Keys (Honeymoon)
Orlando Florida (goes without saying)
Florida Gulf Coast (another great family holiday)
St Thomas USVI (favourite Port when I worked on cruise ships)
Acapulco (fanatastic nightlife when I worked on cruise ships)
Disneyland Paris (my second home)

Worst 3 places I have ever been:

Blackpool - went on a hen night (never again)
Kavos in Corfu - went on a last minute cheap allocation on arrival holiday (never again)
Majorca - (touristy bit) - holiday with ex (thankfully never again!)


Where I would love to go:

Las Vegas
Yosemite National Park
Grand Canyon
New Orleans
Nigara Falls
Dominica
Bahamas - especially the Exumas
Jamaica
any remote Caribbean island

Sorry about that Pam, we have only been twice 12 and 22 years ago and both times we went it hadn't changed a bit.

Lovely beaches and we had great weather I think we just got a bad guesthouse, we didn't even unpack the cases.

That must have been horrible for you! We've been here 5 years and it is the most beautiful place on earth when the sun shines, but it can be a bit bleak otherwise. We just miss shops, crowds, choice of things to do! Theres only so many times you can ride a shorse drawn tram!

Brussels - didn't expect this to be so good with the nicest people I've met anywhere.

Worst - actually most of my bad trips have been UK holidays with their lack of value for money, but I also have to agree that Amsterdam was a big let down being dirty and with graffiti and smashed up bicycles eveywhere.

Worst places, hmmmmm, the only one I can think of isn't really worst but I won't be going back and that is Zante. Oh and DLP as everything is in French and it totally ruins Disney, along with the high prices.

Best:

Disneyland Resort Paris - my first home

Japan - awesome culture, great way of living and so much to see

Brixham - seriously! Beautiful coastal town in Devon famous for pirates and amazing seafood.

Malta - this was 21 years ago though, it's become a lot more built up now.Snorkelling was out of this world.

Ardèche Valley, France - went Canadian Canoing down it for a week when I was 17 and it was amazing - fantastic water, scenery and detached from the civilised world.

Worst:

Coventry - it felt really dirty and unsafe.

Sheffield - the out of town shopping centre is nice, the city centre is horrid

Magaluf, Majorca - the worst of the English chav society all drunk and in one place Luckily we stayed in the next town, which was surprisingly Spanish off the main stretch.
