Yes, because you TOLD me in the naming of your pic....be sure to change those when you crop!

It's the Tower at POR! (also my FAVORITE Mod Resort!! Lovingly known to most of us OLD timers as Dixie Landings!!!)

(Otherwise...GREAT PIC!)

Thanks. Well, duh to me! Yes, my first mod stay was at Dixie Landings in 1992. Will be there in Sept. and can't wait! :)

The "stars" make me think somewhere All Stars (but I've never been to one.... so sorry if its a silly guess! :flower3:)

Sorry, no. Not CBR or All Stars. These are good guesses, though, but not close. Thanks for trying!

Beautiful! Fond memories of my favorite resort! Now Own DVC right next door at OKW for that reason!

:love::love::love::love:

Either WL or 50's Prime Time Cafe ---Alacrity's guesses. Perhaps Hollywood and Vine, since I have never been in there??? :confused3:confused3:confused3

Never been to Hollywood and Vine, either. WL is a good guess because of the colors, but wrong. Not '50s Prime Time Cafe.

Hint: It is at a resort, not a park. :)

swan and dolphin

We have a winner!!! This picture is at the bus stop of the Swan Resort.

I was at the Dolphin in 1991, and I saw that Star and Squiggle motif everywhere at both the Dolphin and Swan. Outdoor signage, all the overhead lights inside and out, stuff on the walls, printed materials. It was part of architect Michael Graves' playful, whimsical, post-modern fantasy theme.

In 2009 I was at the Dolphin again. The playful whimsy had been replaced with luxury-appeal items. No more stars and squiggles. That was OK, it looked nice. The Swan, too, had this new luxury motif. One day, exploring around, I went out the far doors of the Swan to where their bus stop is. Lo and behold, a handful of the old light fixtures. I just had to take a picture before they were gone, too. :)

Cool Story!!!

We normally stay at the Beach Club, and I remember the stars and squiggles! Thanks for the story, that's very interesting what they have done.
