Diane...is the 9-12" snow prediction in your part of NH? I think you told us once where you lived but only remember it was in the southern part...

This is outside in WS.

Last I heard and that could have changed, we were in the 4-8 inch area. I live in Pembroke which is just south of Concord. Kind of in the middle but closer south.

I had to laugh this evening as I was reading a Houston Chronicle article on "Accidental Texans". Most people have no idea how large Texas is...this gentleman was driving to Houston for a new job and he wrote...

"I'd just crossed the state line on Interstate 10 when I saw the sign that STUNS East Coast drivers heading to Houston.

EL PASO: 857 miles

Head west that same distance from say, Providence, R.I. and you pass through five states, landing just east of Elkhart, Ind. ....

I always have to smile when I'm visiting with other DW visitors...especially those from Europe. The just can't understand how it could take 14 hours to drive from the tip of Texas to the Oklahoma Panhandle!

If I drive for 14 hours I will be in Virginia.

I'm sorry. I didn't see anything that said Frozen Funland. I just went into the shop and then this was in a room off of the shop. They had a place to buy hot chocolate and this snow playground. There was a place where kids waited to get onto the snow. No lines other than the kids waiting for them to smooth the snow.

Yep...was that same area but they must have closed the entrance to the Funland part and opened the back of Wandering Oaken's into that area. Snow, hot chocolate and FROZEN drinks and in July the skating rink and area to rent skates. It was SO cool in that building in July!

NOW I remember...I thought the name of your town started with a "P" but it just "wasn't clicking"! 14 hours and you've crossed 5 states (?)! It takes us FOREVER to get TO the next state. One reason I'm not crazy about driving to DW but it does take the least amount of time to get out of Texas when driving to Louisiana. But then it takes FOREVER to drive the Florida Panhandle, turn south and drive down to Orlando! Much quicker to fly!

Snow total's aren't to bad; we finally had the sun come out today...after almost 2 inches of rain and low 40's temperature. Looking forward to enjoying much warmer temps tomorrow and clear skies...Redstorm has 2 soccer games in College Station...
