Next guess should get it :rotfl2:. This is from the Great Movie ride...this arm is grasping the item on the left...just tell me where it is for the win. :tink:

its looks Romen to me but I cant remember all the scenes in the ride :(

:cheer2: Awesome ... niece (in-law) said the "weather was nice" :rotfl2:; told her YOU didn't think so! :rotfl2: Tomorrow's forecast sounds "challenging" but know we're all sending "warm, DRY hugs" :grouphug: for a successful completion and that GOOFY medal!

Did NIL run on Sunday and what did she think of the rain

The entrance way?

Here is another twist on staying in the parks late with me.

What do you think. The MK is open until 1am with EMH today. I will be the last one out of the park at 2am. Then head straight to the corral for the marathon start at 5:30.

Lol cuz that sounds like fun right before a big run lol

I am crazy but not that crazy yet

Wow! You really don't need much sleep do you!?! You must be running on adrenaline! Did you get some sleep today?
Good luck tomorrow!!

I did get a few of hours sleep. Just about the normal amount

Ed...(as DGD would say) REALLY??? You have to run 26 miles tomorrow!

Yup and I did it

I got a text saying Ed made it to the 10 mile mark! and he is supposed to finish around 12:15 EST. Go Ed!

PS...According to the text I received, Ed seems to be "right on schedule" for his goal!

Ed just FINISHED! 6:37 TIME...

I got a text saying he made it too!! It took him 6 hours and 37 min. and he averaged 15:10/mile. Sounds incredibly good to me!! Yay Ed!!

Just got some pictures of Ed with his medals...he REALLY did it! He promised to post some pictures here this evening. Did anyone see the pictures on Facebook of the "grave diggers" standing over a runner? SO funny! (And no...it wasn't Ed!)

AK?

That sounds like a picture I would take

I do not remember what the mile marker they were at was but during the Sunday run I would have never gotten up. Just like those that stopped to ride EE. I would have never made it off
I bet when Ed recovers from his little walk he might watch it too

Thanks everyone. It was a really great weekend with great friends.

There were 9 of us in the group. My DD and her BF, Toni and her DS and his GF, and Mary and her twin boys. We all ran in the half on Saturday. only Mary's twin boys and I ran in the full. One of her boys did all 4 runs.

Lets get to the weather. As Goopy's NIL said the weather was nice NOT

I am sorry. I know most of the runners are from northern areas but low 40's and wind chills in the upper 30's are not fun to run at all period!!!!

Saturday I decided to go at a comfortable pace so I could save energy for Sunday. Saturday's half was at 3:08. felt really good after this. Just a little discomfort in the quads. The first group went off at 05:30. Our group went off at 06:25.

Here is my DD, her BF and me after the half.

...and none of you look tired! :rotfl: NIL was NOT happy with the rain...OR the weather. At least she's had an opportunity to run in the cooler temps since we've been below average here ALL winter. I can see you're point on the Grave Diggers :lmao: We're proud of you...you've represented the "over 16 crowd" well! :worship: :tink:

Politics is pulling me away from WITW for a couple hours; election watch party with a good friend running for State office ... SO... you'll have some time to think some more. Not Indiana Jones and not in the scene you're speaking off Jeff. :goodvibes :tink:

I thought you guys would have this solved by now. ;) We're in for MORE campaigning...our lady came in 230 votes short of 50.1% to be our 7 county District Representative in Austin. Now we GET :faint: to have a runoff election. :tink:

Now onto Sundays run. Now this was nicer in the terms of weather for the start. Mid 50's felt nice. It is the same course as the half until mile 8. This is where we turned into the Disney world Speedway for a lap around the track. When leaving the track it was onto a service road to the backside of AK.

This part was not really bad until we got to the water treatment plant just before AK. The odor was really bad. One cannot hold there breath and jog for very long. :lmao: When we left AK it was the parkway over to ESPN. I can also tell you that the 3 mile course inside ESPN seemed to go on forever. You entered at 17 and left at 20.

The first round of rain came for me at mile 16. The second round of light rain at 19 and the final heavier rain 21.5 thru 23. Running in the rain is not fun. Annie can tell you that. What made it a little nicer is that it was much warmer than the Wine and Dine Annie did.

My brother was up in Orlando visiting his DD and was over in HS and found me coming down Hollywood after the rain.

A short trip thru the Epcot resorts, and then thru WS and FW to the finish out in the parking lot.

And the pic with the iced up knees

Now I had my goal of completing this in 5:30 which I missed but I am very happy to have finished. When I got to the 5 mile mark I was only 1 1/2 minutes behind. When I got to the race track I knew the goal time was gone. I went into training run mode so I could finish feeling good. That was going along fine until mile 18 which then became survive and finish mode. The only thing that was hurting really bad were the quads.

This was all my fault. I did not do all the training I could have done in the last 2 months leading up to the run. The longest training run ever was only 11 miles and I had pasted that the day earlier. I also did not follow the energy gel schedule I had planned out in the early part of the marathon. I paid for this at 18. Miles 19, 20, and 21 were not pleasant. I can say that catching up on the missed gel spots helped get back on track some what for a good finish. Other than the quads hurting everything else felt great. I was even back to doing a little running on Monday not very far but running.

Will I do both races again??? Not with out doing more training leading up to it. 2018 i am going to do all 4 races. However I am going to go back and do just the marathon next year. Training starts tomorrow with a 3 to 4 mile walk/run at an easy pace.

A couple of things about this weekend was that I finished both races. The first half of the marathon was faster than the Saturday half marathon. I am faster than a 91 year old.:woohoo:

Who wants to join me in 2016 ::yes::

Ed you look great!! I finally got a phone card today and saw the pictures you sent me. I notice you didn't post the one of you with the ice on your knees here…. But, you are our hero! I'm sure if we had a WITW run, you would win!!! ::yes::

Karolyn, I hope your friend wins the election!!! :cheer2:

Edit: I see the ice on the knees picture now. And there's that cute jacket you got for you DD!

It looks like you had fun but I bet you are glad it's over for now! A 3-4 mile walk/run sounds like plenty to me!

Kudos again Ed! Very impressive!!

Who wants to join me in 2016 ::yes::

I think we probably did the "track" at ESPN last July...on 3 different days! :rotfl2: But one of those was "running from a true Florida thunderstorm"! Once again...:worship::worship::worship:...but, in answer to your question...not just no...but HELL NO! :lmao: :tink:

Way to go Ed!!!!

I do know what it's like in the rain...but when it's cold.....and dark. I do completely understand the not getting back up again. Right before mile 8 at Wine and Dine they had the Green Army Guys, and I could think was that if he made me do push-ups I was just going to lay down and cry.

I don't do marathons for that very reason....I can't keep up with the training. Heck, I can't do training for a half. I see lots of 5ks in my future.

If I ever did a disney run even I would want to walk and wait for the sweeper bus to pick me up lol

But it does look like a lot of fun and the metals look amazing

That sounds like the best idea!! ::yes:: I would buy all the race stuff then just walk to a few meet and greets, ride a couple of rides and wait for the sweeper!

Would I still get those cool medals? :goodvibes

Well, at least she didn't lose! She could still win in the run off, right?

I have no idea where we are w/your arm crop. It's from the Great Movie Ride?

Oh yes...good chance she'll win...4 candidates in primary election and Judge came in with most votes...almost 44% but you need 50.1%. :faint: Out of votes cast she only needed 230 more to check her box instead of one of the other candidates. Our Legislature is already in session, so this means we'll go another 3-4 weeks without representation. Our former District Representative was elected to the Senate in a special election in early December. It would just be nice to get all this election stuff over and get on with governing. ::yes:: We're all getting a little weary of campaigning! :crazy2:

:thumbsup2 You know the right question to ask!:rotfl2: All I needed was "in the queue" since I have no idea who this guy is! :cheer2:
