I was HOPING she'd "stretch it out" a little toobut she was staying up until 2-3 in the morning working on hers! She got 3 large Lego sets for Christmas; the Castle was the smallest. Other 2 pieces are the Eiffel Tower and Avengers Tower. They have 10,000 & 12,000 pieces I think! She said it looks like the Eiffel Tower will be the most challenging! We're going to try and find...or have David or Treavor...build a glass case for the Castle. Any special plans for displaying yours?
I checked your date the other day when the long range weather forecast came out! Looks like you will arrive after the really cold artic front that's predicted at the end of next week-middle of January. Even some talk of SNOW! At one point the projected temperature for Allie's area was low 20's but they've backed off that forecast a little. That would be a bummer if y'all left the cold/snow of Canada only to go to cold/snow/cold rain in Florida!
Good day yesterday after quiet New Year's Eve. David was in bed by 11 but I was busy preparing for New Year's Day lunch so still up at the stoke of midnight. Family lunch yesterday and Sara, Allie and Katie are currently in the air flying to Orlando. They have reservations in one of the new Tower rooms at the Polynesian! Excited to hear about them. Their niece/cousin is with them and she and Katie have plans to "do everything", staying in the parks from rope drop to closing
! Not sure if that's going to happen but they ARE 18 and 16 and have more energy than all of us put together.
Sara and Allie have no plans at all except for dining reservations. Plan on a "resort vacation" since she had to pay a fortune to get those rooms! They're certainly priced "above my pay scale".
Hope you get decent rooms at Kidani. That's the resort I've vowed to never return to.
Our room was SOOOOO far from the elevators (seemed like we were walking from Main Street to Big Thunder Mountain
) and got stuck in the elevator with a lady throwing a "verbal temper tantrum" about the bus service at the Lodge. She scared me so bad I actually punched the button for the next floor to get away from her.

I loved AKL but we were at the very end of the horseshoe on the third or fourth floor and it was a super long walk.
We were in bed before midnight too. I was awake and watched the ball drop. Could not fall asleep. I think I finally fell asleep around 2.
Did you watch the Texas game? That was a close one.
Nick and Molly are going to Florida in January for a week![]()

No Ma'am, this is not from a ride attraction.![]()

i have seen so many videos and reviews on the new Tower and i sooo want to stay there
is it from a shop?
maybe from adventureland?

No Sir, not from a shop and not involved with Adventureland.![]()
Agree but pretty sure it's beyond my "pay grade"!Fixed retirement income pretty much takes care of that dream.
Sara took me on a video tour and it IS nice; one of the reasons they haven't made any park plans for this trip other than dining reservations.. Our niece and her daughter and grandchildren are there also and they're meeting them in the MK for a little fun together but other than that they'll be enjoying the Tower. Keep saving Jeff; you're young enough to live that dream of staying there! Just may take a few years to get the funds.
When our girls were little and we were on a TIGHT family budget, it would take us 3-4 years to save for a trip that included a stay at the Poly...and that was quite a few years ago when Poly rooms were UNDER $200 a night!
