My original thought was a parade but checked my DAYTIME parade pictures and didn't even think of the light parades! It's been a crazy week...and now, 36 hours before they're scheduled to leave for the Vegas soccer game, Treavor's co-worker has tested positive! At least he hasn't been around him much at all since he told Treavor Monday he felt like he might be coming down with a stomach virus! Main Street Electrical Light Parade?

We actually had some RAIN today! Only 1/2 an inch but cooled down to 83 during the thunderstorm and the pool water "cooled down" to 90 degrees! What a wonderful change! AND...my sister called this afternoon....niece and great-nephew have tested positive ; poor Ryan also has strep throat with it! He's moved in with her and Kate in hopes the rest of the family stays well.

Yes but after the past 10 days in 95 degree water it felt pretty good! We'll take what we can get at this point! This is the same kind of heat dome that Denise experienced last summer...some to do with one of the "El Nino's" over the Pacific Ocean that brings the heat in and the jet stream traps it. Our "future meteorologist" was explaining it to me the other day.

Katie starts her "school activities" SATURDAY with Officer's Retreat for the Brahmadoras (lucky kid though...it's in Galveston so they get "beach time" ) and Allie goes back for soccer in 2 WEEKS! I have enjoyed the free time but we're on the downside of that and getting ready to go-go-go again!

Back to school activities/sports already. When does school start?

Yep...ALREADY! Officer's Retreat officially starts the Brahmadora season...it's Saturday-Monday in Galveston; then they'll have a 3 day camp at a local retreat in a few days for the entire squad before they start the routine practices. Football practice doesn't officially start until August 1st but the Officer's will perform already at the Midnight Madness practice so it's beginning fast! AND...August 1st she'll go take her drivers test! IF she passes she'll be driving in a couple of weeks! Allie starts workouts the last week in July; they have a team meeting with the new "recruits" on the 28th and then they hit the field for workouts. Classes start mid-August for Katie; not sure when Allie's first day of classes are. I think our local schools are usually in school a couple of weeks before you even go back but then they're out at the end of the year the last week in May and you have to go to mid-June. Allie, Treavor & Sara fly to Vegas tonight for her birthday; the soccer game they're going for is this weekend.
