Now the fishing tournaments been cancelled. Allie was REALLY looking forward to that. AND...she got her move in day date today...August 14th...which so happens to be the SAME DAY Katie has the "Hat Presentation" for the Brahmadoras!

That stinks the tournament was cancelled. Aug 14 is early, when do classes start? Does she have to move in early for soccer? Does she have a lot of things for her dorm? Will she have a roommate or be by herself?

It's a FISHING tournament ; they fish in the GULF OF MEXICO! You can't get more "social distanced" than that! I honestly thought that was one thing that was "safe"; they don't even have weigh in's; they have to video their catches, weigh and measure on the boat and send video to judges. They have a beach house rented and there's a "no refund" policy for cancellations to do Covid. HOPEFULLY the guy that owns the boat will say "let's just go fishing" ; David's even volunteered to pay for the gas so we'll see.

I think classes start the last week in August but yes, she reports early for soccer. Practice will start August 17th and the first pre-season game is August 25th. Her birthday is next month and we'll finish out what she has to have for dorm then. She talked with her roommate last week so they have the "common items" worked out but she wants to wait on a lot of the other stuff. Wants to get moved in and see what she needs for personal storage and comforts. There are a lot of good shopping places in Brownwood so she won't have a problem finding whatever else she needs.
