Terri, how was your Christmas trip to Ft. Wilderness? Hope you will play some pictures on here. I see you have another ticker tape!!!

It was amazing. I took lots of pictures, of course . We didn't do any parks, and I am glad as I heard they were crazy busy. Met up with some fellow DIS Campers which was nice. Weather was perfect. And yes, I have three more trips planned for this year, March, Oct and Dec 2019. The Fort is definitely my "happy place" and if it wasn't so expensive I would probably camp there once a month! DH and both said we will have to work for Disney part time when we retire so we can keep going, CM's get 40% campsites .

First soccer game of the year in the books with a CRUSHING loss ...which we figured would happen since there have been no practices due to the rain, cold and holidays PLUS playing 5 & 6A schools but EXCITED that the season has started and WONDERFUL seeing all the soccer parents again! Temperature was low 40's and raining when we arrived...

...so WE "cheated" and walked up to the area right below the press box...COVERED and blocked the wind which was awesome...but still cold. We were so high up I had a hard time finding the girls I wanted to take pictures of but DID get some good ones...

That team ran all over the girls in the first half for a 5-0 score. The 2 main defensive players finally decided (on the sly) that they'd abandon the coach's defensive game plan and GO WITH SON-IN-LAW's ...they only scored ONE goal in the 2nd half and that was thanks to a fowl by "Miss Feisty" (#8) leading to a free kick. Redstorm scored the Brahmanettes one and only goal with about 3 minutes left in the game...and I was already packing things up and failed to get a picture of her first goal of the season ! I texted her after the game and told her "1 down and 49 to go"...(her season goal is to score 50 this year! )...

Partly sunny now and temps in 50's but dropping to 30's tonight. Next game is 5:15 so shouldn't be TOO cold. Leaving shortly for that game but warming up by the fireplace for now!

Hope the weather gets better for soccer. It's no fun watching or playing in the cold and rain. We had snow this morning it was really slippery this morning not a fun ride to work.

Sun appeared at sunset but still "a little cool" and LOOK AT THE FIELD THEY PLAYED ON!

EVERY mother is doing laundry tonight ...

Very poor lighting on this field and pictures are awful but fun night with even more parents and students there this evening. No goals for Redstorm but game ended in a tie and she was just happy to be out there playing!

Sounds like you had a fun "weather day" too! Ours will be MUCH better tomorrow and hope yours is too. Only 1 game Friday and that's at 3:30 so we may not even need our coats in the first half . Maybe your day will "warm up" too.

You have to remember were are AP and go to the parks all the time. The Fort does have a lot to offer, almost everyone decorates their sites, so you spend almost each night looping around on the golf cart just to look at those. We spent each day resort hopping looking at all their Christmas decor and also an evening at DS. We also did a lot of fishing. The Fort also has canoing, horseback riding, sleigh and wagon rides, boating and more, so you will never have time to just stay at your site, unless that's what you want to do. I posted a bunch of pictures over on the camping thread, but here are a few.

I would love to have more time to just go around to the resorts, eat at Boma! and see the decorations. Ft. Wilderness looks like a party of like minded people. Hoop-de-do Revue, Disney Springs.... I would not want to be in the parks when they are SO crowded!
