I was actually thinking about that today and wondering if he was still going in that direction. A HARD decision now a days. The really sad thing is the rally the officers were protecting was surprisingly peaceful and they were in the last half-block of their march when that animal ambushed the officers. Niece's boyfriend has been in law enforcement a few years and wouldn't trade it for anything. Really sad day yesterday. In a neighboring town, a waste disposal truck driver had forgotten to put the "arms" down that are used to pick up trashcans. He was traveling down Hwy. 36 and the arms hit an overhead bridge. The concrete fell on another car passing under the bridge crushing the front seat area. A 12 year old girl died; her mother was Life Flighted to Houston and is in critical condition.

I keep hoping he'll change his mind or stay in the criminal justice field but not as an officer. So sad for the little girl and her mom and family.

Sounds like Heaven! But darn it...pool WAS warming up nicely...at least 78 was "swimmable"! Our water is 86!

I would love 86 degrees. I keep telling DH we need a pool heater.

I had a high of 73 here. Very nice day but tomorrow I fly back east for another week with my grand baby. It will be HOT out there. I hate the humidity!!

I agree! That was awful...they were from out of town...just driving through and that happens.

I agree with you! Your swimming season is WAY to short to wait for the sun to warm that water up! For me 86 is just about perfect!

Oh wow...73 sounds GOOD compared to 97! You will be in for a change back east! DD said it's hot but no hotter than Texas...and she walks 5 miles a day in this heat here at home! Now tonight they're having problems in Baton Rouge...hope it doesn't turn deadly too. Son-in-laws brother and his family live a little east of Baton Rouge.....

Son-in-laws plane is at the gate now so he should be arriving soon. He is right on schedule tonight but almost didn't make it to the airport! DD was freaking out ...bumper to bumper traffic between Smithville and Bastrop and the plane was already boarding when he got to the gate!

This is inside but not in the lobby or check in area.

Son-in-laws plane is at the gate now so he should be arriving soon. He is right on schedule tonight but almost didn't make it to the airport! DD was freaking out ...bumper to bumper traffic between Smithville and Bastrop and the plane was already boarding when he got to the gate!

I've officially classified DD as a "Disney Veteran". They moved to AK Kidani's today and when they arrived at the resort to check in they were told they'd been upgraded to a Savannah View but the room wasn't ready yet. DD asked if anything was available for immediate occupancy and she was told yes but it had a parking lot view. She took it ; they just wanted to get into a room, unpack and go to the pool....no time to "enjoy the view".

I told her, "my friend Diane would have waited for the view"! I was rather surprised too...family vote was 3-1 to not wait...and son-in-law was the one that wanted to wait!

This is from an elevator area in the section close to the Villas...the hallway to the elevator is across from the Mercantile. It's a sign that probably (I didn't look ) has something behind it.
