Where In The World 21. We are now completely legal!!!

Forgot to tell you earlier...our "neighbor's to the northwest", girls softball team won the State Championship today! :cheer2: Watching Texas Aggies vs Wake Forest in the playoffs and the Aggies are up 19-2 in the top of the 8th and it's 12:15 AM here! :faint: I'm not a huge baseball fan but love the playoffs for the College World Series!

This is from Liberty Square. :goodvibes :tink:

The game ended at 1 AM with A&M winning 22-2 (I think :rotfl:...lost track of the runs scored!)

Restaurant or shop?

Very scary!! Glad to hear your BFF is okay. She must have had some angels on her side.

She's needed those angels her entire life. :rotfl:We call it "Carolyn's luck"; when her daughter sent me a text, letting me know about the accident, all she said was "Angels on Mom's side again...traffic accident...she's okay...Carolyn's luck" :rotfl2::rolleyes:. :tink:

I guess it's Florida's turn for some rain. Tropical storm is developing in the Gulf and heading our way tomorrow and Tueday! Time to get out the umbrella's and rain coats.

Oh Terri...I'm sorry but to be honest...we here in Texas were PRAYING that sucker headed your way and not into Texas! Looks like it should only be a 3-4 day event instead of 3-4 WEEKS though! Keep the umbrellas handy...:umbrella: :tink:

Dont be sorry, I don't blame you. So sad to see all the people that have lost homes, businesses, autos and even livestock to the flooding in Texas.

We live in central Fl and don't really have any flooding issues in my area (thank goodness). My sisters live on the West Coast, so they will have to pay close attention.

:scared: Storm surge problems? Hope not...doesn't look like it will be very strong, just rain. We're pretty lucky too, living where we do. I would NOT live close to the river; perfectly happy on "high ground". Lot of livestock lost, as well as wild animals. For the life of me though, I can't figure out why the ranchers didn't get more of their herd out of the pastures that flood. It's not like they didn't have plenty warning but I do understand "where can they be moved too?" DH and I would have gladly offered our 2 family farms for "storage" but never had anyone ask. :confused3 And then, there's the fact that most of our residents have never seen the river get as high, and as much flooding, like the last few weeks. Guess the "100 year" flood saying is true. Hopefully, Florida won't be getting 20 inches in 24 hours! :rotfl: :tink:

Terri...when you mentioned livestock, I remembered this picture DD posted on Facebook. Finally got a few minutes to go back and find it....

  1. Only a Texas woman would go stand in flood water to argue with a Longhorn!.....but mom, that's where my pasture is....not any more the San Jac has claimed it! :tink:
