That's nice that you all are getting to go to DW this year. I wish I had a trip planned....

Not ALL of us...only DD, SIL and the girls. DH and I can't plan any Disney trip until (#1) he gets his deep sea fishing trip (since I went to DW last Nov. and he had to stay home) and (#2) we find out if our appeal to our insurance company did some good and they pay the $5,000 payment on DH's knee replacement for the use of the "robot" that they're trying to say was experimental. If they won't pay, it's our responsibility and that needs to be paid before a Disney vacation can be planned. Just SO glad they they're getting a break, as a family, from all the activities they're in. The girls need that break just as much as Mom and Dad!

High school softball all over. Won their first playoff game but lost today. Stupid coaching. Summer travel tournaments start next weekend. Our head coach isn't coaching anymore so the two assistants took over, not happy about that. One of them is all about his daughter. She is an outfielder and she wants to play infield. We already have a very good infield. She is not really that good. So she pouts and says she will quit so she can have her way and play where she wants, and Daddy lets her. So we'll see how it goes.

Can you believe those figures? Enough rain to cover our entire state with 8" of water...and Texas is BIG! Storms have by-passed us today ...pretty good one early this morning (according to DH...I slept through it ) but nice afternoon. The system is now bringing heavy rain closer to the coast. BFF was traveling yesterday...with a whole bunch of Guardian Angels" and Pixie dust ...heavy, heavy rain; she was crossing a bridge and hydroplaned ! Spun the entire length of the bridge and ended up hitting the wall of the bridge before she stopped. Damaged her truck...AND her nerves but she's okay! What a bummer...out of the playoffs already. That sucks and doesn't sound like the summer league will be much fun with all the potential drama. And who is the coach going to pull out to make room for his precious daughter??? Why would a head coach pull out NOW? Hang in there! Don't get me wrong...I/we'd LOVE to go with them to DW but MUST do the responsible thing now. Darn it. Who knows how long our insurance appeal will take and DH really, really deserves that deep sea fishing trip too....and they're not cheap. I still feel a little guilty that he and SIL didn't get to go with us last November and I promised him a fishing trip so we'll need to see if we can make that work first. Won't be easy 'cause my BFF will have to be his fishing companion ...she loves that stuff and it'll be a cold day in hell before I go deep sea fishing!

Golf cart is what I was looking for. Took this on my solo trip in 2013 when the ME bus made it's pickup at the POP. Thought those little "cars" were adorable!

Sending you some sunshine to dry up all the rain. That's just a crazy amount of rain. Coach's daughter doesn't want to play summer softball anymore, she wants to concentrate on volleyball. But she is still playing high school softball. Really stinks because he was a good coach. DD learned so much from him and he helped her so much with her hitting. Glad your BFF is ok, that is scary and especially on a bridge. I'm with you on the deep sea fishing, been there done that NEVER AGAIN.

Me too...once is enough! I have GOT to "see land" or I won't get on a boat! That's sad...it's a shame he won't keep coaching just for the love of the game. But SIL did the same thing with soccer when the Redstorm team "aged out" of the league they'd been playing in. He'll still ref games but he misses the coaching too...and the girls love him! He'll "slip them tips" during the high school games but that's as close as he comes to coaching. It's hard for those girls to decided which way they want to go too; at least with Redstorm the volleyball/soccer seasons don't coincide. I had NO idea BFF's accident was as serious as it was until I talked to her this evening. She said her life "flashed before her" and she just knew she was going to end up in the water! At least, with the heavy rain, she was only going 45 mph or we'd be planning her funeral!

Forgot to tell you earlier...our "neighbor's to the northwest", girls softball team won the State Championship today! Watching Texas Aggies vs Wake Forest in the playoffs and the Aggies are up 19-2 in the top of the 8th and it's 12:15 AM here! I'm not a huge baseball fan but love the playoffs for the College World Series!

The game ended at 1 AM with A&M winning 22-2 (I think ...lost track of the runs scored! )
