I was wondering when you asked about Skippers Canteen ; yes...this is from the Frontier Trading Post. Tell me what it is.

This is the pin trading shop, correct? Is it a drawer front on that large cabinet next to the check out counter?

Sounds like a great parade but it makes me anxious about all the people and crowds I'm going to be in while I'm traveling. I'm so used to wide open spaces up here.

...and you really have to have visited downtown San Antonio to understand how crowded this is. Some of these streets have been around since not long after the "Alamo days" . It's a beautiful historic city now crowded with massive hotels/office space right next to 1800 buildings. A very interesting city to visit and explore. You can go from the Alamo to "modern abstract art" in a matter of blocks. I've yet to figure out where all these people parked! No "Texas wide open spaces" in downtown San Antonio. Airports shouldn't be TO crowded this time of the year; hard to say about DW....doesn't the Flower & Garden Festival end soon? May have a lot of last minute visitors.

On to NATIONAL'S in Galveston July 11-15 (and maybe another "kink" in trying to plan a July trip to DW; now I don't know if DH can get off work that much since that's over 5 DAYS! ); jazz got platinum, 10th overall~tap platinum, 5th overall and production got platinum...FIRST OVERALL! The jazz and/or tap "crew"...

Productive day today! Finished the soccer wreath for the team to give their coach at the Awards Program tomorrow night...

...found stuff in storage I've been looking for since last year ; finished raking leaves in the front; cleaned all the outdoor furniture and baked 2 dewberry pies from the berries DH picked this morning!

I don't think our pool will be open for awhile. We need a new pump and filter. Don wants to take it down. I told him the only way I would allow it is if we replace it with a hot tub.

I like your hot tub idea! Seems lie you'd get more use out of a hot tub at your latitude.
