Where In The World 21. We are now completely legal!!!

Good morning everyone. With the continued west movement I am out of the eye wall cone for now. However we are still going to receive hurricane force wind gusts inside the outer bands. Terri is in the Eastern eye wall cone still and will see greater winds than me.

Now you need to pick some lottery numbers! :rotfl2: Seriously...you're "out of the cone" but not "out of the woods". Gonna be a LONG, LONG night isn't it? And a LOUD one! We didn't realize how loud the rain was until it stopped...as they say, "silence is golden". Had a hard time sleeping that night too without the rain pounding on the roof. :rotfl: Thank goodness you won't get the 155+ mph winds; feel MUCH better but then...."100 mph gusts" isn't something you look forward to either. Last I saw was storm surge of 2-4' which is another plus; just hoping now that you don't get 25+ inches of rain! :faint: Terri's "hell" starts tomorrow...possible wind gusts of 120 mph is NOT fun! Keep us posted! :tink:

Sunshine? Rain? Oranges?

Florida residents annual pass?

party: Diane finally figured it out! :dance3: SURE thought Ed or Terri would figure this one out; but then, they DO have a few other things on their minds!

Make up volleyball game road trip this afternoon but have about an hour before we have to leave. Any thoughts on this one before I depart for the afternoon:

i think we are finally done with hurricane prep, all windows boarded and everything out of the yard. Since Irma's move to the West, my sister and her four kids are heading here to ride it out. They live in Bradenton in a flood zone and her husband is a firefighter and will have to work. Going to be a crazy couple of days, but we will make the best of it. Told her to tell the kids it will be like indoor camping, lol. Will try to get you guys an update tomorrow.

FUN! :goodvibes Yes...crazy but glad your sister has a safer place to go. We'll be thinking about you  and looking forward to updates that you and your family are safe. :thumbsup2 :tink:

You woke up a winner Ed!

I'm glad the hurricane moved away from you! :yay: But, I have a friend in Tampa and it looks like it's heading for her now. She and her husband have boarded up and hunkered down.

Hoping for the best for your friend. It looks like they will take a direct hit.

Yes that is true. Should see some cat 1 winds. Also if the cool front stalls the steering current could push it back east. This is speculation but as crazy as this thing has been anything is possible.

8pm update. Power still on. Outer Outer bands are rolling over with some very heavy rain thunder and lightning. Stopped my floating in the pool The eye is still along side of Cuba. I am watching a Terminator movie on Amazon prime.

This is from a park but not the AK or Epcot. If you can guess what it is, I'll give you a bigger picture.

And so it has begun......Glad you are checking in Ed, we are all thinking about you :grouphug: So glad you still have power! Please keep us posted.

I will every so often when I can. There are some very healthy wind gusts in with these outer feeder bands. Now that the lightning is gone time to go back and float in the pool. And yes it is warm. Not watching the storm coverage either. Tired of watching it so much for the last week.

Hoping the water temp in your pool cools a little with all the fresh rain :umbrella: like ours did. Just promise me one thing...when you start getting "waves" in the pool from the wind I think you need to go inside. :rotfl2: Terminator is a good one to watch...getting any ideas to get that sucker OUT of the Florida area and into the Atlantic again? That is one CRAZY hurricane! Every once in awhile we're wondering if it might decide to take to the Gulf waters and head over to Texas??? :scared1: Of course, like DH says, we're pretty "messed up" already so "what the heck"? Might be the best "solution" for all! Thanks for the updates! :thumbsup2 :tink:

A few days of ups/down for the Brahmanette volleyball team and their fans. Yesterday at noon was one of the "trying times" for Redstorm when she actually had to WEAR A DRESS to school. :rotfl2: The team had been invited to the lunch meeting of the local Lion's Club to be introduced to the community and each member had to SPEAK :faint: to the group. :rotfl: The public speaking was okay but wearing that pesky dress was NOT...

After last nights victory they had to report to the gym at 7:30 AM :faint: to continue the tradition of spending the morning with "Little Brahmanettes". Girls from the 2nd-5th grade are invited to a teaching session with each team member being assigned to 5-6 young ladies. Redstorm's cousin, Anna, was THRILLED she was on "team Redstorm". :goodvibes

...AND then there was this afternoon's game :headache:...went to 5 games and she couldn't watch the final point of the last game knowing what a L-O-N-G bus ride back home it would be after a game full of errors by EVERY member of the team :scared:...
