New crop for the new week:

She nailed it today AGAIN! Great day for Center Stage; Katie's groups all got double platinum. They placed 1st Overall in Tap; 5th in Lyrical; 3rd in Jazz and 2nd in Contemporary! She "knocked the solo, It's Getting Bad Again" out of the park earning a TITANINUM AND GETTING #2 Overall (her other solo scored double platinum) AND got a special Judges Award for "the most meaningful solo with a powerful message performed by a real actress"!

All of the group numbers were so pretty and graceful (with the exception of the HIP HOP ) but I LOVED the tap the most!

By the end of the day she had lay down with an ice pack on her feet she'd danced so much!

Did you watch the game? Not the outcome I was hoping for not a KC fan. I was rooting for SF. My football square numbers did hit won $1000

WOW...a good contribution to your Disney trip fund! I'm so happy for you! Can you believe I didn't even WATCH the Super Bowl? David watched a little and I checked the score a couple of times but (#1) I DESPISE both those teams and (#2) we were SO tired from our day I just needed to get a little work done on Katie's graduation projects and didn't have the energy to "multi-task". Started to put it on when they went into OT but got distracted and next thing I knew David was reporting KC won. I used to enjoy watching KC but am so tired of hearing "KC this and KC that" this year I just lost interest!

Katie is on "Cloud 9" ; we weren't sure how a different set of judges would react to her number so it was a tense weekend and solos were the LAST group to go! Now she wants to enter any and every competition! I told Sara I hope she keeps that attitude when she runs into that group of judges that HATE it! I'm sure that will happen at least once this year and she gets so "down" when it does. During the interview with the Judge that gave her the Award she was acting "goofy"...wanted to show them she WAS "acting"...that she was NOT that "depressed teen" she portrays and the lady LOVED it! Her only regret this year is that she's not in the large group number, CRAZY (Patsy Cline's version). WE JUST LOVE THAT NUMBER and she's kicking herself for not trying out! She and the chorographer "butt heads" ALL THE TIME and she was already in so many other numbers AND this class is in Brenham and she wasn't sure she'd have the time to get there after her Bellville class so she didn't try out. It is an AWESOME number...got 1st Overall in the large group contemporary...and I could watch it over and over and over! But...such a good day for the Studio and SO glad she has something that makes her "super happy" these last few months of her senior year! Sara said she found herself, a couple of times, thinking about that this weekend but had to "get it out of her head" and just enjoy watching her dance. Bitter sweet that's for sure.
