The Christmas or Art of Disney Store?

We're suppose to get a rare "cool front" later today with the stormy weather expected to hit about the time Katie's mini-dance recital is suppose to start in an outdoor theater! I say "stormy weather" because it is now 96 degrees with an unbelievable heat index of 123! 60 mph winds expected with hail...sure hope the weather guys are wrong!

Soooo, THIS happened tonight...our little Princess was voted on by the dance students and teachers and was names MISS CENTER STAGE!

That's her Musical Theater teacher to the left and the owner of the studio in the center; earlier in the evening the Musical Theater teachers husband (he was doing the announcing) sent a "shout out" to her too. She was one of the first members of their theater class when she was 8 years old and he mentioned how proud he was of her and how she's "grown" in not only her dance but her singing as well! The storms held off...in fact, they "went around" us all together and the venue for the "mini recital" was perfect! Katie even got a "good laugh" from the audience when, before the "Boogie Boy" number, she had to come out on stage and ask, "Excuse me...does anyone out there have a TWEEZERS! I have a splinter in my foot! " Sara says..."Of course it's MY child who gets a splinter in her foot!" PLUS...got to watch Allie kick the soccer ball around before the recital started!

And NOW...I need to gather stuff together for our spontaneous trip back to the beach tomorrow and Sunday. The house Treavor and Allie are staying in for the fishing tournament has 6 bedrooms so the whole family is going down for a couple of days!

Much later start than planned this morning! Storms finally hit about 5 AM and we had 5 INCHES of rain! Limbs down and flooded streets but thankfully that's all! I knew when it was still 85 degrees at 1 AM something had to happen when the "cool front" arrived! Still raining at the coast but should clear before we arrive!

Crop is not from Candy Cauldron.
