:rotfl2: In her words..."athletes don't wear bows"! She and Stephanie are "two peas in a pod" when it comes to their sports! :thumbsup2 Certainly not worried about looks...just PERFORMANCE! DD laughed and told her she was lucky...when she played volleyball LIPSTICK was "part of the uniform" :scared1:...Redstorm was mortified! :lmao: :tink:

One of the moms on Steph's softball team made bows for all the girls. The mom did her hair and put the bow in. She kept it in for ONE game.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

I never wore bows either. In the earlier years i did have a lime green SCRUNCHIE that was my game day accessory......but by high school it was whatever hairtie still had elastic left in it :rotfl:

It is literally to hot to get in the pool! ::yes:: Heat index is 110...

This is from the WS. :tink:

Norway?

Mom and I were fine the whole time we were there EXCEPT at the entirely outdoor wedding. Stood around in the sun waiting, sat in the sun for the ceremony, and then once the sun went down....it still didn't cool off. In lieu of cake she had an ice cream truck, but we were done about 10pm and ready to take a cold shower

:sunny::sunny::sunny: I feel your pain! :lmao: The heat just "saps" every ounce of energy out of you, doesn't it? I'm a little surprised they didn't set up an air-conditioned tent...or at least a tent with fans blowing the air around! :rotfl: A lot of people do that around here when they hosts BBQ's, fundraisers, etc. Great idea on the ice cream truck! :thumbsup2 And you had to eat it fast or it would all melt! There must be a "high pressure" over us cause there is NO relief after sundown. It DID get down to 85 the other night! It WAS to hot today to even get in the pool until about an hour and a half ago. Brutal! I've been watering grass all day and now it's time for me to get out and do the pot plants. So glad it wasn't to bad for you. I really wish I could have made a quick trip to the Austin area to meet you and your Mom but our weekend was crazy. We'll have to save that for the NEXT TIME y'all come back to Texas! :tink:

I am SO glad to hear y'all say that! :rotfl2: Redstorm says, even though she doesn't know the upper classmen that well yet, she can tell who the cheerleaders are! Full makeup and hair "done" for PRACTICE! :rotfl2: Diane...the bow is adorable...the Princess would love it but I honestly think Redstorm would refuse to wear it! If she did she'd be just like Stephanie...it MIGHT last one game! Like Annie, it's whatever hairtie has elastic left and onto the court...or soccer field. Annie...we laughed this afternoon when DD told us she and the soccer coach (who also helps with volleyball) secretly talk more soccer than volleyball! :rotfl: If Coach Brewer overheard they'd BOTH be in trouble! :rolleyes1 :tink:

There are some girls on the team and high school team too who wear makeup to games and practice.:sad2: Make up does not stay on when playing softball and sweating in the 95 degree heat.:headache:

The Main Street Electrical Parade, Magic Kingdom Park’s long-running nighttime parade, will officially end its historic run at Walt Disney World Resort on October 9 and then head to Disneyland Resort for a limited-time encore engagement. We wanted you to be among the first to know while there’s still time to plan a trip to Walt Disney World Resort to enjoy the magic and nostalgia of the parade one last time.

Main Street Electrical Parade is a nighttime procession filled with glowing, spinning floats that honor favorite Disney characters. Animated Disney films that are represented include “Alice In Wonderland,” “Cinderella” and more. During the parade, Tinker Bell lights the way with a wave of her wand and orchestrates half a million shimmering lights synchronized to a memorable soundtrack.

If you’re planning to visit the Walt Disney World Resort for our fall experiences and see the parade one last time at Magic Kingdom Park before it ends its run, please keep in mind that Main Street Electrical Parade is not offered on Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party nights. Check for the latest parade dates and times here on WaltDisneyWorld.com or in the My Disney Experience app.

Keep checking the Disney Parks Blog for updates on entertainment experiences at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort.

...not sure how I feel about that! :tink:
