Hi all

Sorry I've been missing these days. Finished my first full week at the new job km and while i haven't done much as I'm still in training mode mm i think I'm going to enjoy it! My coworkers are all really nice. I can't wait to actually start working the front line km not interacting sub people is slowly killing me.

Joe and i put the deposit down on our reception venue Friday, even though it came in over budget. It wasn't an easy decision, especially when his mom offered to completely pay for a Disney wedding, but ultimately we decided having our families attend was more important. And I really really want to get married in my church. So the biggest thing on our checklist is taken care of! Now we get to play guest at all the other weddings this year.

We have decided to skip my cousins in August. Sorry Karolyn, but flights to Austin just aren't in the budget. I'll have to make it out to Texas some other time!

So glad you're doing well in your new job! Awesome report on the first week and I know you can't wait to "get involved"!

I TOLD you...you do NOT want to come to Texas in AUGUST! Can't believe your cousin decided on the Austin venue IN AUGUST! Tell her to bring a lot of sunscreen and sit back and enjoy the fact that you won't be out in the 100+ degree heat!

and on finally booking YOUR wedding reception venue! Had to be a hard decision on not taking future mother-in-law up on that Disney wedding but I'm a traditionalist too...I'd stick to getting married in YOUR church! We did...almost 45 years ago! Our youngest DD looked into a Disney wedding; we didn't discourage her out loud but sure were hoping she'd follow the tradition and get married in our church too. She did and their wedding was beautiful! It's "downhill" on the planning now...sit back and enjoy it!.

Everyone must still be asleep this morning! Had to cancel MY follow up doctors appointment in Bryan to take DH to the doctor here this morning. Took his bandage off last night and he had a really yucky skin reaction from the glue from the bandage. Knee cut looks great but a couple areas covered by bandage look really gross. At least the sun is shining and we're drying out a little; more rain predicted for this afternoon/evening but keeping our fingers crossed it goes to the north like it did last night.
