So we FINALLY bought a new vehicle. Got a really, really great lease price on a 2015 Ford Explorer. I really didn't want a car payment again but things were starting to go on the van and we would have had to put more money into it.

Very nice Diane. Enjoy it. Give it a good break in drive. Might i suggest a trip somewhere!!!

Don't think I will ever buy new again. I enjoy my old vehicles

We think alike! If I had a mechanic on the payroll (DH can just do SO much ), I'd have kept my 1995 Ford van in a heartbeat!

Wow! A brand new Explorer!!! When you lease, everything is there problem, right? and then you just give it back? I've never leased before but, I hear it is a popular option these days.

This is our third time leasing. The first time we gave it back and then bought another vehicle. The second time was our mini van and we loved it so much we bought it when the lease was up and had it for 11 years and just traded it in. Leasing lets you get into a new vehicle for much less. We looked at some used vehicles but the monthly payments were more than the lease and more than I wanted to spend.

Same boat we were in so I feel for you. It's hard to make that decision when you've been without a car payment for awhile. We've been putting extra on our loan every month and I'm hoping to get it paid off before DH retires. It's been hard but we've done okay in getting the amount due down in only having it 2 years. ENJOY YOUR NEW TOY! I STILL want my old van but I'm adjusting to this new one...sort of.

We have a small payment for DS car but he pays half so it's not really like a payment at all and it is only for three years with two left. But we figured when that is paid off DD will need a car because she gets her license next year. I's going to take me awhile to figure out my new toy, my van didn't have all this technology.

Yes it is all ready to make the trip to WDW. Just give me a few years to finish saving. I need a second job.
