Where/How to take this picture?

So, my entire clan of 30 is headed to Disneyland in October. (Well, my SIL is pregnant and it will be 31 by then, but shhh, it's a secret!) During our family trip this summer we did t-shirts for the cousins with the birth order. 1-16, lined up in a row at Zion's National Park, it was adorable. We'll have tshirts at Disney with the kids numbers on the back and Mickey ears. Where can we line them up to take a picture? Naturally in my head the castle is in the background, but that may not be possible.

Thoughts? Suggestions? The only day that it will work I think is October 22nd, a Thursday.

On the side of BTMR might be a good option. This area is spacious but not loaded with people so you should be able to get a good pic without strangers in the background. Its not the iconic castle, but it is one of the mountains and still a beautiful backdrop.

You could do it in front of the castle, but you're going to have to stand pretty far back to get them all and there will be a lot of people in the picture. Can you have them stand 8 and 8? You might not get a lot of time right in front, but you could try moving forward, like on the curb right in front.

I'd try:

Castle, do this about halfway through Magic Morning when people aren't passing through a much.

Esplanade, after the first hour there's not a lot of hopping happening yet, you could get either park's gate in the background.

Main St train station steps, also not a high traffic area once the park opens, so head their first.

Sword in the Stone, there usually aren't more than 2-3 groups waiting for a picture there. Queue everyone, send them in single file, and wait for those few seconds when everyone else clears out.

Mickey's Fun Wheel, during the day, the WOC viewing area is pretty deserted.

Storyteller's statue, can be hit or miss. Sometimes there's a CM there with a tripod, but even then there's not always many people waiting. But again, you'd have to stand pretty far back to get 16 in a single line.

Grizzly Peak, there's a little alcove near the waterfall on the Bugs Land/Cars Land side. There's usually a CM there for photo ops, but the view of Grizzly Peak never really caught on as the icon of the park that Disney thought it would be.

Greetings from Cars Land sign, you'll have to wait a little, but there's also rarely more than 2-3 groups waiting here. I think 16 kids would fit the width of the rail there.

I like the previous posters thought of main street station...going up the stairs in numerical order! cute:)

Other ideas might be:
-Maybe on a trolly car in DCA if its not to busy.
-by Snow Whites wishing well.
-riding the Columbia or Mark Twain

Have a magical time

If you're all up for it, and not tired, you can wait till park closing to take a picture in front of the castle. I have seen many pictures at night where there is no one else in the picture and the lights from the Carousel shine through the gate, really pretty. And it will definitely be less crowded than during the day. Then you can take picture on an empty Main Street. Main Street is open for an extra hour after the park closing so you might have to wait a little longer to get a completely empty Main Street but the pictures turn out really great.

Have fun and god luck!

During EMH at DCA the bridge to paradise pier is pretty dead, great photo spot there with the fun wheel in the background.
