Where for quick meal at OKW?

I am planning our trip for next fall. I am considering OKW.

I viewed the menus for OKW. Olivia's looks like a full sit-down menu. Then the other menus look like snack shacks or pool bars. Is there anywhere at OKW that serves breakfast? I know it's a quick trip to DTD, but I'd like to see that I could get breakfast at the resort and get an early start.

Olivia's is table service, they serve excellent breakfasts.

Good's To GO is Counter Service, they have breakfast sandwiches, etc.

Pastries, frozen waffles, cereals, etc. are available at the resort gift shop for you to enjoy in your room.

If you are driving, POFQ/POR is only a few minutes away and parking is very close to the food courts.

Have to say that I loved OKW but thought the lack of eating places was bad. Would have loved to see a food court that would give you some choice.

NOOOO, please! No food court at OKW. It would cheapen the experience. We LOVE the breakfast menu at Olivia's, and the Goods to go breakfasts aren't that bad either. On the other hand, we always take advantage of our full kitchen and make breakfast there instead.

You said it, Diane! Ithink that one of the charms of OKW is that there is no food court. Plus, being able to have breakfast in our villa was THE best way to get an early start to the day.

Another vote for Diane's response! We just came back from a 6 day stay in an OKW 1bdrm villa and oh boy was it great to have an option for cereal, pancakes, or omelettes in our own villa!!!!!!!! The space alone was awesome!

even goodie's to go can be very, very slow.

just depends upon what you order.

nothing here is done in advance - everything has to be cooked to order.

Sorry to hijack here, but a quick question about the counter service at OKW.

We're staying there for our first time in a week. How late is the counter service location open?

Also, any ideas on what time breakfast run until and what time lunch starts and ends at Olivia's?

Good's is open 7a.m. - 10:30 a.m. for breakfast and 11:30 a.m.-10 p.m. for lunch and dinner.
Olivia's serves breakfast from 7-10:30 and lunch 11:30- 5. Dinner is 5-10.

think goodies to go is open at 6:30 am - they do change hours - so when someone is checking in - send someone to look at their hours - they are posted. think they close at 11pm.

they use to be in the stuff they give you. but the last time i looked there were no hours listed.

Do you need to make an ADR for breakfast at Olivia's?

We didn't in October. My sisters and I were there for a long weekend (weekend after Columbus Day) and we ate breakfast in Olivia's twice. Both times the place was fairly empty. I think that we were there at about 8:00 each time.

No, Pat, the hours I quoted came right from the Keynotes sheet we got in our check-in packet over Thanksgiving. I agree that they might extend them some times during the year.

No, at least not during normal times. Maybe holiday times might be different, but since they quit doing the character breakfast here, there seems to be no real need to do an ADR for breakfast.

The Mara at AKV is an excellent choice for a quicky kind of breakfast. However, there are not a lot of options for food / meals at OKW - you may as well plan on eating in your unit or in the parks. And nothing at OKW is quick. I have to agree with Jets fan - poor options for dining within the resort. There was one night we almost DIDN'T eat at all. I forget exactly what happened but it was maybe 9:00 or so when we got back to the resort and I don't think Olivia's was seating (it was empty) and the other place was closed. We ended up buying Hot Pockets in the store to microwave or else it would've been cereal... And you'd better like to walk to GET your food too 'cuz OKW is very spread out!
