I know this is not strickly Disney but we are staying at the Disney area villas on our forthcoming vacation on Sept 4th and I wondered where else in Florida I could take my 1 year old son?

He loves animals ( like his mommy) so I will of course take him to Disneys AK but I wondered if there was anything that shouldn't be missed while in the States?

Also what are the names of the baby food there? I am going to have a look on line to see whether I should take any familiar food with me just in case he wont eat the choices. I'm sure I am worrying for nothing but i'm a first time mum travelling to a different country :) Also would walmart sell things like stroller fans and holiday bits for babies? Or if not where in Orlando can I go to look for babie accessorys? Sorry for the bombardment of questions....

Thank for your suggestions in advance.

You can get pretty much anything you need at WalMart...but I'd bring the things you know you couldn't do without!!
As far as baby foods.... Gerber or BeechNut are staples :)

Our son had a passport at 8 weeks. He's probably more well traveled at 5 than most adults. We always liked cruises when he was young because the ship is so safe and it was like staying in tons of places without all the unpacking. He really liked the beach when he was little. Like a pp said you can get everything you need at walmart. Walmart sells everything. But I wouldn't skimp on diapers. Buy something like pampers or huggies. Store brand diapers bad thing.

How about SeaWorld?? We took ours sons there when they were really little and loved the animals. You could go to Busch Gardens as well.

If your son loves animals think about taking him to Sea World-they are very hands on and he can touch alot of the animals. Also my boys love to play in the water jets-not anything special I know but fun for the kids. Everything will be new for him, I think its more fun for parents to see your little ones experience the world. You will have a great time.:goodvibes
