Where does the monorail run to and from?

I don't believe that there are any posted times. But there are 3 monorail routes.

There is an "express" route whose only 2 stops are the TTC (Transportation and Ticket Center) and the Magic Kingdom.

There is a Resort monorail that follows the same route as the Express, but it will stop at TTC, Polynesian Resort, Grand Floridian Resort, Magic Kingdom, and Contemporary Resort, then back to the TTC.

Then there is the slightly longer route that shuttles between the TTC and Epcot.

There are no posted times. The monorails begin running about 90 minutes before park opening and run till about 90 minutes after park closing, at intervals of about 10-20 minutes.

There are three loops.

Two of them are next to each other.

The outer, or express, loop the trains go counter-clockwise and stop only at MK and TTC.

The inner, or local/resort, loop goes clockwise and, starting at the TTC, will go to Poly, GF, MK, Cont and back to TTC.

The Epcot loop will go from the TTC to Epcot, looping arounf the inner section of Future World before stopping at the Epcot station, and will then return to the TTC.

The most they will have is four trains on any loop, and they run continuously. On busy days it is not unlikely to have one train ready to pull into a station as another is leaving.

I'm still a tad confused.

I heard that there is a way to get from MK/Resort to EPCOT without getting off the Monorail and then getting back on again. Is it the Express Monorail that I would use with a child in a stroller, stoping at the TTC? It has been too long since I last visited.

If you're leaving from MK, you would get on the Express Monorail to the TTC, then switch to the Epcot Monorail.

If you're leaving from an MK Resort, you would take the Resort Monorail to the TTC, then switch.

Bottom line? You're going to have to switch at the TTC no matter what.

I guess, what you heard was: if you are staying in Poly Resort you can walk to TTC (5-10 minutes) and then take Epcot monorail. Also you can walk from GF to TTC, but it is at least 20-25 minutes walk.

One nice thing when you exit the Express coming from the MK to the TTC you can simply walk across the platform to access the Monorail to Epcot.
