Where does Disney send line-cutters?

They force them to ride Stitch's Great Escape. TWICE.

Now THAT is punishment! :teeth:

When I was at Disney back in early March, some second scanners were manned. Some weren't. No rhyme or reason.

We did accidentally end up in the FP line at Its a Small World. At one point close to the start of the ride, there were no barriers separating the lines - I think the chains were down for some reason. I kept following the people in front of me, who were following the people in front of them, and so on. Apparently someone went to the FP line, and others followed. My wife told me later that we ended up in the FP line. IMHO, if you're going to have barriers up separating the lines, keep them up.

In April, had 2 teen girls jump into the fast pass line right in front of us on BTMRR. I think someone they were with had FP and told them to do it. They got stopped at the 2nd scanner. We walked past them and I said out loud, "That's what happens when you cut in line." The cast member delayed them about a minute and then still let them through.

They are sent to a special shrinking facility, then transported over to It's a Small World where
their feet and nailed to the floor and they suffer for the rest of their lives.

At Small World (as well as Star tours and a few others) there is an area post 2nd scanner where there are still 2 lines but both are just a line now and are not split between FP and Stand By. It is possibly you just chose the right line that ended up loading faster. It is usually when there are multiple loading platforms or boats.

I imagine that in a short time span, WDW could easily eliminate the FP scanners altogether. I'm not sure why they use them at all, as they seem very inefficient to me. FP should be as automatic as Memory Maker.

Just because I don't SEE a live person, doesn't mean WDW isn't watching. ;)

On a continuous, 4-hour loop of It's a Small World. :rotfl2:

Even the thought of this makes me cringe. I was stuck on it as a kid for almost 2 hours and it took me about 10 years to get back on it. They never shut the song off, apparently they can't since it plays outside as well and they had to keep it going. The escape through the scenery to the emergency exit was fun though!

Two hours? Did you have any therapy? I was only trapped for 40 minutes and the song, even being just hummed, makes me Run from the room! The thought of ever riding Small World again makes me break out in a cold sweat. You are a strong, strong person!

It was awful. I remember it was cool to wear your one-piece bathing suit as your tank top, with shorts over it, and that day I had done just that and threatened to my parents I was going to swim for it! The belt on the ride broke and they were trying to fix it but I have no idea why it took them so long to get us out of the ride, and of course we were right in the middle of it. At least our boat-mates were very sweet! I remember they were from Louisville, KY and we were talking about baseball bats. Right around that time, the Lion King show at MK had just opened and once off, CMs escorted us in in front of everyone else. People complained but I remember the CM telling them what had happened and one dad basically cringed and said we deserved front of the line all day! It was burned in my memory forever and now when I ride it I silently pray nothing breaks! My parents have yet to ride it ever again. This was also before cell phones so our friends with us had zero idea where we were!

Dear heavens! I need therapy just reading your post! LOL!

Can I get you to tell my wife that? She still gives me a hard time about going in the "fast pass line." :headache:

Reminds me of a story I heard from a former college program CM: She was staffing the station where you wait for everyone to be seated, then when ready push the button to move the boat. Late at night when there was almost no one on the ride, she had to keep the ride moving. It becomes a pattern (Push the button, move the boat; push the button, move the boat... and so on.) A family with a wheel chair in the party loaded onto a boat and went the circuit. When it was their turn to disembark she accidentally/automatically did the "push the button, move the boat" thing. The family gave pitiful cries of "Nooooooo!" but there was nothing she could do once they were sent on their way but mouth "I'm sorry", and wave. Made me laugh. :)

Oh dear my heart goes out to that CM and that family! I would rather be stuck on almost any other ride at Disney than it's a small world ever again. I don't even have the heart in me to banish line cutters to it!

If someone jumps into the FP line for Space or BTMRR, and then gets caught at the second FP scan...where do the CMs send them? The chicken exit I guess?

(Imagine waiting 20+ minutes for Space, jumping the line, then getting sent to the end of the line, realizing they now have to wait all over again...)
One time while we were in the FP Lane an entire family climbed over the rail right in front of us. I told them this was the fast past lane and they pretended not to speak English. This was parents & 2 teens. Great example teaching their kids to cheat and cut in line. At second FP check they were sent back and not admitted.

Wow, such much hate for Small World and Stitch. I still like them both. I'd send line jumpers to Tom Sawyer island for a few hours.

Small World is a big favorite in my family. I don't care for Stitch, though.

People hate on Small World to be funny I guess? I don't know.
