Where Does Disney Quest Come In Your Must Do List?

But you haven't even been to DQ or stayed on site so how will/can you ever know

DQ would be top of my must not do again list, we went as it was showery, I really thought it was rubbish, I think it would be better for teenage kids but mine were too young and virtual reality doesnt do it for me!

By talking/listening to those that have been there, reading message boards (like the DIS), books, newspapers, web pages and other forms of media to gain an understanding of what a place is like.

I really enjoyed it when we went, it wasn't too busy, we managed to get a go on everything we wanted to try and it was a good way to spend a few hours out of the heat. We had a split party on this, my mum and aunty went shopping whilst I went to DQ with my Dad and Uncle....we generally stuck with the 3D stuff and build your own coaster...although my unlce and dad sharing an astroblaster was hilarious!

We spent the day there last year after doing downtown check in, it was a great end to the holiday loved the pirates game, the life size pin ball game and the buzz lightyear astro blaster thing. Callum and his friend spent hours on one of the virtual reality games and claimed it was 'just as good as innoventions'

We went in as it was free on our ticket-never again even if free.Sorry but i just found it to be grotty and the queues for all the games were huge. The best bit was the lift ride up!
I do love computer games but DQ was just not for me.

I would only take opinions first hand, from people that have been there/done it :)

Its like me saying Villas are absolutely rubbish............but how would I know, I have never even stayed in one. Therefore I would never give that opinion even if I had read it somewhere ;) I would hate for someone to make choices about there well earned holiday on the basis of hearsay!

This is exactly what I don't do. I listened to people telling me to go to The Algarve and Clearwater. 2 of worst places we have ever been. :rotfl2:

I think enjoyment in DQ could have something to do with how busy it is. We have always been when VERY quiet, no queues on anything and like I have said can't wait to go again for the 4th time. Go on a rainy day it will be busy.

My son and I go to DQ while dw & dd shop. It is part of our tickets and I would say to the OP it is missible, but everytime we go there we enjoy it. DQ offers something different and its a great place for teenagers.

And I agree with AndRu, I have only stayed at Disney Resorts, but I know I would not like to stay on ID

Do you believe in a God? Afterall, there are millions of people that do believe in something that they cannot prove exists. Yet they still believe that there is a God eve without a single shred of evidence.

Lebanon maybe a beautiful country but I don't have to go there to see it with my own eyes to know that at the moment, it's not a nice place to be.

A Disney hotel room is just that - a hotel room. Doesn't matter how many pictures of Mickey Mouse you have on the walls (unless you pay $$$$) you'll still be sharing a bathroom with a couple of chairs to sit on. DQ is a glorified amusement arcade. The World Show case is a lake surrounded by shops and cafes - and I have been there and seen it to prove that point!

A car is just a car?
A house is just a house?

Why do some cost more?
Because they are more enjoyable to drive or nicer to live in.

Youve got a theme park near you why bother?
after all a theme park is just a theme park?
A park with some rides in?

P.S I do like Alton Towers

Please can we keep this on the subject of 'is Disney Quest worth doing?' which was the original question posed by the OP.

Thanks for your help :)

DQ has always been on our list of things to do, but a long way down towards the bottom :)

We did it once and enjoyed ourselves, but have never felt the urge to go in again. I do remember it being very dark, and once it got crowded we left as it wasn't as much fun then.

We always go to DQ as there is nothing like it where we live. The kids love the river raft ride and the pirates ship while DS likes the design your own roller coaster and DD likes the animation studio. We all love the air hockey and can have as many games as we like (as long as no one else is waiting for a go) and the pinball, and I love the cheesecake :)

We make time for it every trip.

its a very interesting dilemma i now have some people love it some don't which is to be expected, but because of this i now HAVE TO GO if i dont i will always be wondering if i am on the side of the yeys or neys :confused3 so when all my girls are shopping(for england  )i will pop in with the boy and give it a whirl. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Trouble is, you can't adopt that strategy with every Orlando attraction, or even every WDW attraction - you simply won't have time. You'll have to forego some things, or you'll be so busy rushing around trying to fit it all in, you won't enjoy anything. In fact, my two top pieces of advice are always; (1) avoid EMH days, and (2) take time to stop and smell the roses. You'll be on the plane home before you know it, so take time to just enjoy being together as a family and make the most of every minute. Our October trip will be our 15th and, whilst we've done all sorts of things that the average visitor wouldn't even be aware of (DISers excepted, obviously :teeth: ), we still haven't done everything (DQ included).
