based off of the Michigan thread, where do you want disney to build a american park?

This thread is just for fun, and you should not think that disney is thinking of building any where else in american.

I still have several souvenirs from Disney's America. Not just some of Disney's promotional materials, but since it was only about 22 miles from our house we went out and walked the land. Since part of it was a played-out quarry, we took some small rocks and pebbles and declared them the first souvenirs of the forthcoming park.

I'll vote for my living room which is about as likely as the other choices

Is it politically correct to say Brazil???
If not, forget I said it.
As for the US, I'd much rather see them do better with WDW and forego any new parks

Instead of building someplace new Disney just needs to continue to keep the parks it has updated and maintained! Doing anything else will just further dilute the little bit of money they're spending on the Parks.

Where was this suppose to be located? I would love it if they would build Disney's America in Virginia.

It was approximately 3000 acres at the Northwest corner of the intersection of I-66 and US15 next to Haymarket, VA.

Keep building at WDW. The infrastructure is already in place. It is relatively cheap to get to Orlando.

i would say the texas area maybe even oklahoma.

for all us in the middle of the country we have to drive to either one of the coast to do a disney park. a park in the middle of the country would be nice and give others a chance to do disney more ofton. most cant afford to drive half the country every years or a couple of times a year. we would love to go more ofton but just the getting to D.world or D.land is half the cost for us in the middle of the country. if a park was in the middle it would provide a chance for more of us to do disney more ofton.

Yeah, being in the middle of the country is not as fun. I bet I'll end up moving to Orlando or somewhere close to that area just to be near Disney World. It would be nice if they made some sort of Disney park near Texas. I dont think that will happen though, especially not now. I would much rather them update the parks already open and keep them nice though.

I'd like a Disney theme park in San Diego please:laughing: I have always loved the idea of Disney's America, but a new park for Disney is probably a couple decades away. They still need to fix up California Adventure, Animal Kingdom, and the Studios.

Give the expense of building and operating a new park, they would need to pick a location that has year round decent weather. Smaller regional seasonal parks really don't seem to be financially viable, as evidenced by the Six Flags financial mess. Kennywood, and older parks, where there is less debt to service because the majority of rides and attraction have been paid for long ago, can operate seasonally...major parks need to be open all year, and be in an area attractive to tourist.

Ha Ha! I was also going to say Brazil :lmao:

But seriously, I agree that it would be better to simply invest in what they already have in FL and CA.

I want them to build in a little place called Disney's Hollywood Studios in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. It would be a great place to put some attractions

I totally agree..:thumbsup2 there's so much they could do to improve HS with more attractions.

Well I guess Disney America will never be...and it's kinda sad too.

I wish Disney would have built a park down in Myrtle Beach, SC rather than a park the totally BOMBED!!! I honestly think Disney would have done MUCH better but then again I'm no expert.
