Where do you stop on the way *back* from Disney?

Hi,
I've been planning so much for our arrival..I haven't asked where people stop on their return from Disney?
We're leaving Sat 8/27 and driving home to Rhode Island.

We have driven several times from Long Island. We usually stop at about Fayetteville, NC (there are a number of decent hotels right off I-95). On the latest trip, we wanted to have a longer drive the first day so that we would get home earlier on the second day, so we stopped at a Hampton Inn in Emporia, VA. I know you have a longer trip than we do, so you might want to try this approach. Have a great trip!

Fredricksburg, VA is the halfway point for us and we are 20 miles north of Boston.

We have also stopped in Virginia Beach but hat was planned for and additional 2 days vacation .

I agree with Steve, Fredericksburg is one of the better places to stop. It's about 9-10 hours from Carver so to RI you are looking at 8-9 hours.

It's where I stopped on my last trip home (but I'll admit that it was only at the rest area for a couple of hours)
