Where do you stay when flying in late?

So, due to my perfectionistic-induced procrastination, I'm just now booking our flights for our trip that is exactly one month from now. We're booked to stay at BC Villas, but the flight that works best is one that is the night before. One other time we stayed one night at AoA Cars Suite for that first late night, but this flight is even later. We get in to MCO at 11:00 pm. Should we just stay at an airport hotel? Would we still be able to get DME the next morning? Any ideas? Thank you!!

I've never been in this situation, but if it were me, I would just stay at either the airport, or book an inexpensive room at one of the values on property.

I would suggest the airport as well. We were seriously contemplating that, but were ultimately able to book an early morning flight to Orlando. Go to your room and get a good night’s sleep.

Thank you all!! I think that sounds like the best idea, and then to start the day fresh at WDW!! So relieved to finally have this part of the trip figured out!

We were contemplating staying at MCO Hyatt for our Feb trip before moving to WL the next day because our flight was scheduled to arrive at 11:30 pm. In the end, we ending up just booking WL as the Hyatt prices spiked to just a little less than $100 than an additional night at WL so the hassle just didn't seem worth it. As it turns out, due to weather, we didn't arrive at MCO until 1:15 am and didn't get to WL until close to 3 am. While it would have been nice to just crash at the Hyatt at 1:30, I wouldn't have been thrilled to have to get up, repack and take the bus in the morning. We either wouldn't have made it to WL until late morning or we would have had to get up early. We ended up sleeping in until 9:30 am, having a nice breakfast at the resort and heading to the parks late morning. It was so not as bad as we expected that our next three trips we'll be taking the same flight and just heading to the resort. I also have to admit that it was kind of cool to arrive at WL with absolutely no one in the lobby. We got some unimpeded photos of it and check-in was super efficient.

Yes, this is where I am torn. I do love just going straight to the resort, but at $1100 per night I just don't know if I can justify it this time. On a side note, since you mentioned WL, I've always wanted to visit that resort. I say every time we go to WDW that I'm going to carve out time to visit resorts, and then I never do. Maybe this time!

how long does it take for your luggage to get from a value resort to a deluxe resort ?
problems with your park tickets ?

It doesn't matter what level of resort. You call bell services when you're ready and they will pick it up and take it where it needs to go. When you arrive at the 2nd resort you call and ask for your bags to be delivered.

Not sure why there would be a problem with park tickets.

That’s a drastic price to pay for convenience the next morning. And it’s not absolutely guaranteed that you could keep the same room.

No matter the level of resort, ou cannot expect the bags to be available until after normal checkin time for the resort.

I would just stay at the Hyatt regency.

We stayed at the Hyatt once for convenience, and it was nice, but pricy. There are also a number of hotels close to the airport that have shuttles. All you would need to do a shuttle back to the airport in the morning to get DME to the resort.

We could use a car service with a food store stop from a hotel near the airport to our WDW resort
Still get a great rate around $150 or less for the night - some have free breakfast, but beware, could be just coffee, tea, juice and muffins

Holiday Inn Express Orlando Airport 866-925-7881

Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport 866-925-7881

Orlando Airport Marriott Lakeside, Orlando 866-925-7881

Sheraton Suites Orlando Airport, Orlando 866-925-7881

Hilton Garden Inn Orlando Airport, Orlando 866-925-7881

Courtyard by Marriott Orlando Airport 866-925-7881

Hampton Inn Orlando-International Airport, Orlando 866-925-7881

Embassy Suites by Hilton Orlando Airport , Orlando 866-925-7881

Renaissance Orlando Airport Hotel by Marriott, Orlando 866-925-7881

I would check the above for best deal and time of shuttles from MCO (call the hotels directly for best answer)

We've always booked a value for late arrival flights. The airport Hyatt always seemed pricey to me. We also book a car service if arriving at night, and don't use ME. Our trip in February it was about $70, and IMO totally worth every penny. They offered a grocery stop as well but I was using instacart so we didn't do that.

We are stuck in the same situation this trip.... either 5 am ( hell no with a 3 yr old!) 12:40 or 7:40pm! I feel like 12:40 was our best option but I feel like it’s a wasted park day and paying $200 for a room I’m not even in.... ya nope So I always have been curious about the values I figured one night at the pop check it out, go swimming relax then switch over to CSR for our full stay. Disney transfers your luggage for you.... why not?!

MCO Hyatt is double the price of Pop. Unless you can stay on points it really isn’t a good value.

We stay at the airport hotel. It’s great and so convenient!we love waking up in the morning and walking right on the magical express.
