Per my signature you can see we've stayed at the SF, SL, NY and DLH but have stayed at the DLH far more than the others, so I've voted for that.

can't beat it IMHO just for the all round experience.

Our favourite place to stay on our DLRP trips is the Marriot D'ile de France complex :thumbsup2 however we have also stayed in the Cheyenne and Etap in Val D'Europe -both of which I would recommed ;) . Only place I wasn't so keen on was SL .

Although I've not stayed there yet I voted DLH.

Now I'm a grown up and have my own holiday money it will be my future choice for certain!

Jack and I both agreed that next time will be DLH and I think after doing it once you can't go back! Lol.

Dec 2006 - Disneyland Hotel
Dec 2007 - Hotel New York
Nov 2008 - Hotel New York.

as lovely as the disneyland hotel was.. i think i prefer hotel new york :)

I find it hard to believe that I am the only person to have stayed at a Disney selected off site hotel , yet 8 people have stayed at another off site hotel, I do wonder if people haven't got confused as to what the Disney selected hotels are - I assumed this to mean My Travel Explorers, Holiday Inn, Dream Castle and the Kyriad.

Incidentally, my favourite hotel so far is actually the SQL, but I have realised that my budget will enable us to make two visits for the cost of staying there! While it must be lovely to stay at the DLH every time you go, our one solitary night there is costing MORE than the other 5 nights at MTE that week!

This is what it was supposed to mean. I apologise if anyone has been confused by it. I knew I should have put the names of the hotels!!

We've stayed at the Explorers once and on all other trips it has been either Newport Bay or Cheyenne and out of the two I have to say I prefer the Cheyenne .... I love the little ponies they have outside, they are so cute ! I will one day get to stay in the DLH and no doubt that will become my favourite but I'm just struggling trying to convince my oh it's the place to stay !

This is exactly what I did!! :guilty: I 've only ever stayed at the Explorers but voted in the wrong place! Don't apologise cap'njack, it's not exactly difficult to confuse me!! :rotfl:

we generally stay at the cheyenne........nicely themed at a good price.

will be good to give the hotel new york a go on our next trip though.

We are working our way around the hotels, so far we have stayed at the Santa Fe and the Cheyenne. Next Christmas we are planning on staying at the Sequoia Lodge.

I would love to stay at the Disney on-site hotels, but the additional cost puts me off - money I can more readily enjoy on gifts, restaurants, etc. Disney on-site hotels work out at least double the price of the off-site hotels (e.g. Dream Castle and Holiday Inn), even as a shareholder and annual pass holder, and I would not pay that. As mentioned above, one really only uses the hotel from 9pm til 9am, for sleep, breakfast and a swim.

I have stayed thus far at Explorers, Dream Castle, and will be at Holiday Inn at end-Sept for 5 nights. I would not return to Explorers again, but the rooms and service at Dream Castle get my thumbs up. The pool at the Holiday Inn looks better (i.e. bigger), but the rooms less plush (e.g. queen size beds for the adults, not king size). But, at £76 per night for 4 people, I can't really argue!

Maybe I'll splash out the cash for an on-site Disney hotel one of these days...

Im going to vote NPB as i perferred this over the the Santa Fe, not stayed at the Cheyenne yet or SL so cant vote on them. But its always onsite for me.

Have voted for Sequoia as have stayed there on both our previous visits. We'll be staying at HNY this Xmas as just fancied a change.

I have stayed in all the Disney hotels over the years, Holiday Inn, Dreamcastle, Radison, and Marriott Vacation club (where we own a week).

I love my Marriott - 5* 2 bedroom villa with full kitchen, dvd player, 3 TVs, spa, golf course, what's not to love. Disney hotels sadly do not deliver the value for their prices compared to other hotels. Dream APs give us EMH, we can dine in any restaurant. DLH have overpriced themselves, and the once great HNY don't even have full bell services any longer (very poor).

I used to love the SL and HNY before we bought at Marriott.

and I think the Newport Bay has terrible service standards and am unlikely to ever stay there again unless they improve or I get a killer deal.

We stayed in DCR, Santa Fe, Sequoia Lodge and Newport Bay Club onsite, plus Explorers - I voted for Sequoia Lodge as so far this has been my favourite with Newport Bay a very close second.
