Where do you keep your college degrees?

My BA and JD are framed and hung in my upstairs hallway. We are converting a bedroom to a home office soon, and I will hang them in there once it is finished. My mom framed them as a graduation gift.

I mean the actual diplomas. Are they in storage? Do you have them framed and hung on the wall? If so, where? At home? At your workplace?

I have my Bachelor's and Master's framed and hung in my living room, and the other day a good friend of mine half-kiddingly told me it's tacky to do so, unless you're a medical doctor or lawyer and they are hung at your practice.

How do you store yours?
Don’t listen to your friend! Nothing wrong with framing and hanging it!

I hung mine up in my apartment when I was young. Like 30 years ago. Now they are in storage with old pictures.

Old thread but just wanted to comment. Ours are in the basement, some on the family room walls. My kids all left theirs down there.

A few years ago I had to go to a dental specialist and along with his diplomas, he also had hung his Safety Patrol certificate from 6th grade.

In a bin in my closet.

My first martial arts diploma is freely floating through my closet. I wish I had my safety patrol certificate! Everything else is somewhere around here. 🧐
ETA: I have degrees that deserve mounting/framing but I’ve always found reasons not to… I probably need a shrink to help me work through all that.

I have no idea - probably in a box in the attic somewhere

I have three college diplomas, framed, in drawers in my office. Also have various ballet and martial arts certificates, unframed, in a bin, under my dresser. I don’t believe I received a safety patrol certificate-maybe my mom kept and hung that one!

My bachelors and master’s degree certificates are still in the paper folders that they arrived in. I was too cheap to buy the frames. They are on display at the top of my desk cabinet at work.

My BS from Cornell is framed and at my office at work. I don't really care that I went to an Ivy, but it's a pretty document and an accomplishment, not that anyone cares about a BS. My MS? I don't know if I got anything more than the document in the folder. I had DH's PhD mounted and framed, so the borders are in the school colors (orange and blue, Syracuse University). It's his PhD, for crying out loud, and he's an academician. It's a HUGE accomplishment, represents years of hard work and dedication... why not frame it?

I do think displaying them in your home is a nice visual reminder to your kids that you value your education. I guess I should get on that. ;) At least I know where mine is now. I had to copy it for an employer back in the day and I remember digging through the attic to find it.
2 sons have graduated college and daughter is a junior in college since this thread began. So I'm now in possession of 2 more diplomas (because do kids ever take all their stuff with them?) and still haven't hung a single one. I have scanned and printed copies of the boys' diplomas and included them in their scrapbooks though.

I think I have everyone's in a file somewhere. We've moved one too many times and these things get misplaced. My son, who's a firefighter/EMT, recently transferred departments. He was supposed to upload his high school diploma and I didn't have time to look for it. He uploaded his high school transcripts along with his college transcripts showing his BA degree. They still wanted a copy of that high school diploma for some reason. :confused3

I have a PHD in Pain and a Masters in Disaster, both scrolls kept in the dojo closet with all my silk kimonos and Toblerones.

My real degrees, I have no clue at this point.

I was not able to attend college, but my children did, and their diplomas are hanging on the wall. I am so proud of them for achieving what I could not.

Bachelors and Masters for my wife/I are framed in the office for my daughter to see every day haha

One of my Master's is in a frame, but have never hung it up. I work out state and there is no one to see it, so why bother. The other is in a plastic holder thing that it came in. Not displayed for the same reason. I do have scans of both to provide employers that ask. I don't know where my Bachelors and Associates are and don't really care either.
