Mail order for my maintenance med, because that's the only way insurance will cover it. Other medicines, we use Walgreen's because they have a drive-through pharmacy and the last thing I want to do when the kids (or I) are sick is drag them (or me) out of the car and into the store to buy medicine.

I get mine from Rite Aid. The pharmacy is great. The head pharmacist really loves his job and cares about the customers.

I get the scrip from the doctor, then I get it filled at walgreens.

I go to a local pharmacy and they have been wonderful. They have bent over backwards to help me get my testing supplies. I kept running out of strips for my meter before my refill was due, and they actually went in and doubled my script on the spot. Despite the fact it is easier to use a chain, I will use them until I move away. You just don't find service or compassion like that anymore.

I switched from an Eckerd to a small family owned pharmacy. I never have to wait more than 15 minutes. The pharmacist knows me by name. If I have an expensive medication he will give me suggestions for substitutes to ask my doctor about. The cons are they close by 6 on weeknights and noon on Saturdays so I have to plan when I need to stop by there.

I get my medication from Sam's Club. They are the cheapest around. CVS is the worst place to go. They charged me $50 for a med and I went to Sam's and they had it for $8.

I voted Wal-Mart as my wife works the local Wal-Mart Pharmacy...However for her Maintenance drugs she has to go mail order based on our insurance....Wal-Mart will always be cheaper as they will call around and cold all all the Pharmacies and adjust there prices 3 cents below, I think 3 cents...

I get my meds from Walgreen's...it's right down the street from the house. :thumbsup2

I get my maintenance meds by mail order - insurance requires it and it's really easier than going out to get it. They email me when it's time to renew, and if I need a new script, they contact the doctor. For all others I go to Target. Much better prices than our local CVS.

Costco! My brother gave me a heads up about the price difference, I didn't believe it. Medication my DD was on was three times as much at Duane Read and twice as much at the local Mom and Pop pharmacy!

You can check prices online and see for yourself. Always comparison shop.

I usually do Target because I am there all the time anyway but sometimes I will do Walmart. Walmart is horrible, their wait times are horrendous so I haven't got a prescription there in YEARS.

they have new system well at least our wal-mart does...I guess they started early last year. So it may have alleviated those long waits...

Maintenance, Caremark/CVS mail order, only 'choice'. 'Immediate' needs...antibiotic, etc, Walgreen, if generic, Costco if brand. Insurance plan drives choices.

I'm forced by insurance to get the long term meds via mail order (I HATE it :headache: ). For the once and done kind of stuff, I get it filled at my local Publix (grocery store) pharmacy. The staff is amazing and really really nice. :)

I wasn't sure how to vote. I go to my local Medicine Shoppe but I understand they are a chain.

They are independently owned. The owner and his wife, of the one I go to, are just wonderful, caring people. Also the owner has additional trainng on compounding drugs.

Even if I could get my Rxs cheaper somewhere else, I would still go there.

The customer service is excellent!:thumbsup2

mail order and walgreens.
I used to go to a small Mom and Pop pharmacy that delivered, that was great, the only problem was trying to find a parking space to drop off the Rx. When walgreens opened up within a mile fom my house and they had a drive thru I switched since at the time I had 3 small kids.
I do like our walgreens, the head pharmacist is wonderful and knows my family all to well!!

mail order if you're on a med for more than 3 months, otherwise, I go to CVS. If it's a medication covered under insurance, I think I pay the same no matter where I go.
