Where do you Eat the First night at WDW?

We do the Hoop Dee Doo Review dinner show...Either 5 or 7:15 show. Prefer the earlier one because the first day is a killer & exausting. We fly in from NJ & get up early to catch the 7am flight. If you have not seen this show its great. All you can eat chicken & ribs, beer & wine are also included & so is the show. Look into this & you will not be disapointed.

We eat at Kona Cafe. We don't go to the parks on arrival day so it's nice to get in the Disney mood by seeing the castle, taking the monorail, and watching Wishes from the Poly beach!

Last year it was Sci-Fi (we got in too late the night before to go anywhere)--this year, I'm hoping it will be 'Ohana. My daughter requested it b/c she loves the salad--and the Disney feeling is so great there! :thumbsup2

A couple times we encountered delays getting checked into our room, and that caused us some stress trying to get to our resi on time, so we typically don't plan anything for the 1st night, and just hit DTD and find someplace down there.

We usually get an early flight out which allows us to get a good 6-8 hours in the MK on our first day. Our last two trips we ate a Liberty Tree Tavern and we plan on this again for our next trip.

my traditional first night feast is at california grill watching wishes fireworks :cloud9:

About every other trip, we'd go to Raglan Road in DTD. This last trip we were sad to find that the house band, Tuskar Rock, had moved on. The new guys just don't have the same energy, so I guess we're looking for a new place.

we always go to DTD for our first evening, and always like to try a new restaurant there - there's so many to choose from! for my honeymoon trip coming up in april, i wanted to do something really special, so i made reservations for california grill for our first night. the CM on the phone was so nice to me when i explained it was my honeymoon, and she helped me time the reservations so that we will be able to watch wishes during our dinner. i'm really excited about it

We usually eat at either San Angel Inn or Le Cellier. This year we're eating our first meal at Tony's Town Square. The night we get there is an extra magic hours night at MK. Therefore, I thought we'd hang at the pool (AKL) all day and then head in for a late dinner in the park. Can't wait!

Our anniversary is day 2 of our trip and we're planning to eat at Le Cellier that night because it has been our favorite since our honeymoon 8 years ago. Pretzel bread and Cheddar Cheese soup, here we come!

This varies from trip to trip for us. We normally eat somewhere close to our home resort, or in our resort. One year we ate at 'Ohana, this year we arrive on our anniversary so we're doing California Grill. My absolute favorite first meal though, is Columbia Harbour House in MK!!!!!! I HAVE to eat there, and love to make it our first lunch. I get the tuna sandwich and it's the best!! DH gets the fish n chips and it is SO SO SO good!!! Love this place!! I have no problem waiting on this line!

We are having dinner @ Liberty Tree Tavern this year as we will be spending our first night in MK.
However, if you are arriving later there are plenty of options in downtown disney that serve fairly late.

We always do Chef Mickey's our first morning there, so day 2. We tend to hit Downtown Disney on the night we arrive to grab food, walk around, unwind and then hit the bed!

Depending on if you want to know "first day" or "first day in the parks" lol-- We wont get to WDW until 6 or 7pm and we're not heading to a park. I'm looking forward to eating at the Pop food court actually as alot of things I've seen look really good, and perhaps a trip to DTD to go to the candy shop.

First day in the park we have lunch ADR's in Canada and we're really looking forward to it.

We'll either head to DTD and try WPE or stay in the resort and eat at Mara. We'll see. :thumbsup2

I am thinking about going to T-Rex. This is new to me and I think our ds3 would love it. I am just wondering if the food is any good. I have not seen any mentions on the quality of the food.

This year we are planning to eat at Earl of Sandwich as our first meal. We LOVE it there! :lovestruc The next morning we'll head to MK!

We go to MK the first night and have ate at Tony's for dinner, doing that again in 2 months, so I guess its a tradition now!

Last year we did Hoop Dee Doo Review the first night and my DS9 and DD3 LOVED it. So I think that will be our new tradition for first night dining - already got my ADR for the next trip.
