Where do you Eat the First night at WDW?

We check in go to the pool AHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Relax have a adult beverage or two.:drinking1 When DD was little we would go to DTD and have dinner at Rainforest, But since we have been doing the DXDDP the last 2 years, we have been going to Planet Hollywood. For our trip in May DD will be 21 OMG (how did that happen):confused3

We always eat in an International restaurant in WS at Epcot, Which one varies each year as we love so many of them.
Our tradition is to arrive around 1, check into the BCV and head straight to Epcot. It is a great way to start our vacation

BOMA!!!! Once we went right from the airport and went directly to Boma with out checking onto our hotel or anything. We were 15 min. late for our 9:15pm reservation, but they still took us anyway- it has now become our family tradition to eat at Boma the first night. :goodvibes

I am trying to decide this very dilema myself! I don't know whether to do Jiko Signature restaurant our first night at our hotel , or travel to Poly and do Ohana's and perhaps watch wishes from the beach afterwards. We arrive at MCO at 4:45 PM. Go to our resort (AKL) and are hopefully checked in fairly quickly...staying Club level....then head out to dinner somewhere.

As it stands right now, we have Jiko as our tentative ADR.... We are using the Dlx DP, so credits are not an option...could do a 1 TS or a 2 TS per person without a worry. What to do??

We always spend our first day at DHS, and we always start off with the Fantasmic Dinner Package. Out of the three places you can eat (Brown Derby, Mama Melrose, and Hollywood and Vine) we have eaten at Brown Derby more often. It is my favorite place to eat...

Chef Mickey's is our traditional 1st night celebration! :goodvibes Last trip we tried something different, and it didn't have the same magic. So this time my teens are begging to go back to CM! Who am I to say no? ;)

Depends on when we fly in.

Last trip we arrived early evening, so we ate at the resort, which was Boatwrights (not very good I might add).

Usually we fly in early and hit a park and eat there. This year we are getting in early and going to EPCOT. Have an ADR for LeCellier at 7:55pm!:woohoo:

Our tradition is to have dinner at Chef Mickey's on our first night. We love that it represents the beginning of the Disney magic for us. :)

we drive to orlando leaving home at 3 am. that way we hit Jacksonville FL at around 8 am. SO we stop at Denny's there off I-95. The girls get dressed since I usually just let them stay in thier jammies to travel. and we have breakfast timing it to miss the rush hour in Jacksonville. My kids say that they dont feel like we are on vacation until we eat Denny's :)

Our first night this trip we will be eating at Ohana's :)

We just started our tradition in December as it was DDs first trip.

We go to Magic Kingdom first so we get something small there and then have dinner at LTT. I have to start my trip at Magic Kingdom, its just not the same if we dont!!

And, on our last day, we take a little later flight and eat breakfast at Crystal Palace!!

We always try to do a restaurant we have never been to. Our next trip in may, we are doing the Yachtman's Steakhouse. I don't know what we are going to do when we are out of new places to try!

First day is always spent at DTD...lunch at Wolfgang Puck Express & dinner at Planet Hollywood (DS16's favorite place)

We get to the resort about noon and head to MK. Have to walk down Main Street ASAP! We stay till about 3 or 4 then back to the resort (PORS) to unpack. Take the boat to DTD and eat at Rainforest. The kids say this is a must our first night. On the boat back we are tired, full and ready for an early bedtime. Then it's EMH every morning after;)

When I go with my sister and her kids it is always Chef Mickeys. It was the very 1st restaurant we went to with them (it was also my 1st TS :cool1:) at WDW and is a tradition. If it is just adults, we tend to have an early dinner somewhere outside of the parks, this year was Raglan Road.

We never make an ADR for our 1st night as we drive in and do not like to feel rushed after a 24 hr drive.
We always head to DTD for dinner and choose whichever we feel like at the time. One year it was Raglan Road and another was Cookes of Dublin. Who knows where it will be this year :confused3

We are going to be staying at AKL, so we will have a nice dinner at Jiko's the first night.

We usually eat at Cracker Barrel or Ponderosa on our first night. We stay offsite.

We always have our first meal at Wolfgang Puck Express. No matter if it's breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Garden Grill!! The kids get to see Mickey/Chip and Dale right away, the food is good, and the atmosphere is relatively relaxed for a character dinner. We walk around World Showcase after dinner, and stay for Illuminations.

We usually do Chef Mickeys, but this year it won't make sense for us to go to MK on our first night b/c it closes at 7pm so we are going to Epcot and having dinner at Les Chefs de France
